My time at the Beach Resort, was AMAZING First Holiday since COVID, the resort was very relaxing, for me and my family The Staff, were amazing as well, they were their to make sure we had fun and enjoyed ourselves.
Just leaving today and we have had 10 super days staff brilliant rooms nice and clean and after a mix up on our second night my son's birthday at the grill bar which was sorted out and lovely gesture at the end of the night with champagne and a cake for my son.The food was really good Beach beautiful with lovely walk to Vilamorra Would recommend it to anyone
We stayed here for 5 nights and found it a great hotel. There are two lovely pools, you can see from the photos people have posted on here and on Google Maps how stunning they are, as well as a beach off of the resort.
The food is good, drinks are good. The entertainment was great and the staff are amazing...
This is a place that you want to go if you are looking for a chilled relaxed holiday with fun to be had.
There is a free shuttle bus into the town. We actually got a cab (personal preference) but the town was beautiful.
A great place to stay - go and enjoy!
OK let me start by saying this is a nice resort one of the better ones we have stayed at. I will try to keep this review to observations. There are positive and negative points...
I will start with the positive. Lovely well kept grounds Great scenery. Friendly helpful staff Good housekeeping of rooms. Very good hygiene regime. Good food for the most part, but very repetitive at times pizza and chips every lunch and night. The lamb chops are seriously nice. They could do with a couple of themed meals. Perhaps Chinese one evening Indian cuisine another. Drinks are plentiful. Good entertainment if a little loud at times, they do a good job. Great entertainment staff make you feel part if it and they remember your name. Join in the games and you will have great fun and a good holiday.
Now for the negatives This is a busy resort you have to queue for your food a lot. Firstly to get into the food hall then for hot food, this is worse of a evening. The food serving area is too small for the number of guests. The pool area is very loud during the day with music from the exercise classes and the number of guests. There are outside toilets by the pool but these were closed the entire week. There are around 400 sun beds and only 2 little tables. Parents be aware no life guards on duty. There are not enough chairs or tables for all the guests of a evening.
Booked a bali bed for Sunday had to go to reception 3 times for them to sort it out. They then got it wrong, cocktails instead of champagne and chocolates. Spoke to the manager and to her credit did the same the next day for free. That being said it's the first bed I layed on that did not immediately hurt my back. Do yourself a favour and spend €10 a day. The beds are hard so be prepared, I had try to sleep on the pull out bed to get a good night's sleep. Only one member of staff on overnight. So if you have a early pick up and your not close by be prepared to drag yourself and your cases a quarter mile at 05.30 in the morning. Bottom line if your a family and don't mind queuing then it's all good. If you want a peaceful quiet holiday just to lay in the sun and read this is not the place to come. If you are prepared to relax and join in you will have a great time. Portuguese people are friendly and polite. The children are well behaved. I would come here again but not in the Portuguese summer holidays or as a couple for a quiet holiday. Despite some issues I would recommend the place. This was our first time in Portugal and I definitely recommend it the Portuguese people know how to enjoy themselves. They just love to dance and have rhythm. I hope this helps.
The resort itself has beautiful grounds and the food here is absolutely delicious. The beach is a short climb down the cliff and the beach beds are free (you have to get there in time to get them). The guests are also really nice and its very family friendly. There were fun shows at night that our kids enjoyed...
The staff are also extremely helpful and kind. These are some major plus points for this place. The downside is that the rooms are dreadful. I've stayed at cheap motels that have better rooms than this. They are old, worn out, and not kept up properly. The 'cupboard' has no shelves, and has flimsy doors. The fridge is something out of a dorm room. We changed our room and went to a different one but even in that one the toilet seat was broken. Also, no idea why they charge you for using the safety deposit box in your room. For an all-inclusive place, these issues should be addressed properly. Rooms need major renovations. We did enjoy ourselves here despite the drawbacks and would happily come back and stay here. We hope by then that the rooms are upgraded!
