Wonderful experience. staff were so great I hundred percent recommend for families looking for fun 👌
Excellent hotel, loads or pool options to suit all ages. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our aparthotel room was clean and serviced regularly. Food was top class from breakfast to evening dinner. Big shout out in particular to the kids club entertainers, they were superb. Ines, Sophia, Keith, Leo, Christian, Joanna and led by Nuno (hope I'm not missing anyone) they were all brilliant, from the morning kids club to the pool activities to the mini disco in the evening, our 6 year old loved every minute of it. We will definitely be back. Thank you from Stephen, Margaret and Amelia.
Excelent location with great service, perfect for families.
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Kids Club team. All of the staff were fantastic, friendly and enthusiastic, and our two boys (aged 6 and 7) absolutely loved their time there.
A special mention to Inês, who was wonderful with them, although all of the team were great. Being left in charge of two very energetic and agile little boys is no easy task, but they did an amazing job keeping them entertained, engaged and happy throughout.
The boys were always excited to go back, which says everything. Thank you all for helping make our holiday even more enjoyable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So this is going to be an honest reflection and review of our trip to Alfagar, we stayed from 17 - 24 June 2026. 2 Adults and 2 teen daughters. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment in Prestige. The check in was very easy, the main reception was quiet, We arrived @ 1.15 PM and our room was already ready. Prestige is at the main reception and within 10 minutes of being dropped at the hotel, we were in our room. The room was really nice, pull out sofa with 2 single beds for our 2 daughters and we had a big bedroom. There was a TV in both rooms and they had British channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and channel 5) Ideal for me to sneak away and watch world cup games. The balcony was large with 2 seperate doors from both the Living room and bedroom. The air con was really good, it knocks off when the doors are open to the balcony. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything you would need to self cater, although there was no kettle, so for the tea drinkers, you will need to boil water on the hob. There is a coffee machine and you can but coffee pods in the shop across the road at the Colina resort for 2 euro for 12. We were B&B & the breakfast was good with a varied choice although it got very "samey" after a week. There are a few snack bars and an onsite cafeteria where you can get snacks during the day but be warned, they arent cheap, I paid €7 for and iced coffee that was only ok, I am not a drinker so I cant comment on the quality of the alcohol but I overheard some guests complain at the cost. There are lots of pools to choose from and we never had to reserve a bed from morning time, the kiddie area pools were the busiest for obvious reasons, it is frowned upon to reserve beds early. We ate out every night so I cant comment on the dinners at Algafar, they do themed buffet nights. There is entertainment organised throughout the day from early morning Yoga to pool games to quiz nights. We got Ubers into the old town and to Olhus Da Agua which is better value than taxis, averaging €5 per trip. The hotel can organise day trips, I would recommend the Bengali caves and Zoomarine. We enjoyed our stay at Algafar, and would recommend it, but perhaps supply a kettle and maybe a lock on the bathroom door.
