The Auramar Beach Resort is superbly positioned on a rocky headland overlooking one of the Algarve's fabulous golden sand beaches. It is located just 50m from the beach and 5 minutes from the 'strip' and from the centre of Albufeira, it offers guests an ideal location to enjoy the best of the Algarve's well known attractions.
Our second time at this hotel. We really cant fault it, for a 3 star hotel they offer everything you could ask for, a wide range of facilities, a good variety of food choices throughout the day and for dinner, very friendly and helpful staff, especially by the pool and in the shop. Hotel entertainers are very enthusiastic and friendly and are good at what they do...
Great location, right by the strip and beach and just a short taxi or tuk tuk ride from the old town. Would recommend to couples or families.
Stayed for a week in June 2022. Had never been all inclusive before so didn’t really know what to expect. We arrived late evening around 10pm were greeted with a packed lunch (sandwich some fruit and a muffin) as we missed dinner...
We ate breakfast every day at the hotel, good choice, eggs, beans ect, pancakes, fruit, hams and cheese. We only eat lunch from the buffet on our last day (given lunch voucher as all inclusive band taken off at check out 12pm). The self service bar by the pool, offers salad, burgers, fruits and normally pizza daily from 11-6pm. Evening meal consisted of lots of salad, fish and meat options along with cakes and ice cream. Self service for beer, wine and soft drinks.
The room was spacious and like the pictures on booking.com. We had a sea view and couldn’t believe how quiet it was on the balcony for such a big hotel. Bathroom could maybe do with an upgrade to meet the rest of the hotels standards.
Only negatives we have are we couldn’t turn the aircon off in our room and as we had some cooler nights didn’t feel it was needed and could save electric. There were also quite a few sun beds that were broken and needed replacing.
Overall great relaxing holiday in a really nice location. 25 minute walk to the old town down the beach with lots of lovely restaurants which we visited a on a few evening.
Would stay again
The Hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable...
The pools were very nice. There was a wide selection of food which was really nice. My partner is a fussy eater but he really enjoyed it. Can’t fault it one bit.
Pros Stayed here as a group of 8 lads, location is close to the strip, drinks measures were good and pool setting is good. Also next to the beach so another bonus. Rooms have aircon
Cons Food was arguably below average and not varied...
If you’re looking for a party hotel would say elsewhere is better as we had a few noise complaints
Overall is good value for money
Lovely clean hotel, food was great with good choice, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks We stayed all inclusive which was worth it more so if you had children, All staff were friendly and helpful, (Paula who works in the restaurant was lovely to meet you) 😁 There was x2 pools outside and one child’s splash pool and one indoor pool, We had to vacate the room at 10am on the last day which is pretty standard
Only downside was we arrived about 11.30am on day one and got told we could get lunch, dinner but on our last day our flights were not till the evening but when we returned our key we was able to get breakfast but not lunch and any drinks/snacks had to be paid for, I questioned this at reception who said because we ate lunch on the first day we was not allowed lunch on last day.. I think this should of been explained to us on the first day. Over all it was a lovely place to come and stay 👍
