We enjoyed our 2 week stay in Auramar. Loved the view of the beach. Clean hotel...
Mandela from the animation was really nice! He was fun and does his job really well. Every night there was a live music, which is nice.
Just returned from this place and well what a shambles, the reception had 5 people on shift and only 1 seemed to know what was going on, they were very abrupt, got in room air conditioning had a mind of its own English television channels were unwatchable, went to pool bar no change to buy a drink so they would not serve us, the truth was couldn’t work till same in reception bar, I could go on and on , it’s your money and you have a choice, choose somewhere else, trust me Lee
Graphic bullfighting shown in the family occupied reception area. Pool cleaning chemicals left unsupervised next to the childrens pool. One morning the coffee machine burst its water supply, resulting with water spilling over the electric supply. At no point were guests asked to move away from risk of electricution. If you like beef mince then you are in for a treat, as that will feature in most meals such as burgers, bolognese etc (chef gets a good deal at the butchers?) If you cannot sleep and decide to go and sit in the reception foyer at night (so as not to disturb who your staying with), you run the risk of being accused of snooping by the night manager. We have stayed here before and it looks like instead of refurbishing the place, they have reduced the rates and standards have dropped. We discovered a fire exit to be bolted shut. This hotel is in a fantastic location and deserves new management and a refurb.
We were a group of 2 couples that visited Portugal. We enjoyed our stay, Mandela was a really great and fun guy. Every night there was a live music...
Clean hotel, very nice people. The pool were cleaned every night. One critic was that the pillows were really soft (but that’s a personal thing.
Very nice hotel with a lovely sea view setting. The standard room we had was perfect for our needs and although the aircon wasn’t the coolest we’ve had the room was comfortable. Social distancing markings on the floors and plenty of sanitising stations. The hotel has a lot of steps as the blocks are on different levels but it is also designed with accessibility in mind. Access to two beaches through a gate at the pool area although both involve uneven paths and steps down to them. We found the food to be ok although maybe a little limited in choice, especially the dessert section. Always Luke warm rather then hot but not a problem for us. All inclusive is from 11am and includes a decent selection of hot and cold snacks at the pool bar. We would return as we enjoyed the sea view setting.
