This modern hotel enjoys a wonderful location between the Pine Cliffs golf course and a peaceful green pine forest. The hotel lies just 800 metres from the renowned Falesia Beach and is only 8.5 kilometres from the lively tourist hub of Albufeira. Faro Airport is at a distance of 20 kilometers from the hotel and the Roman Ruins are situated just 10 kilometres from the hotel, while Loule Castle is just 14 kilometres away. This magnificent hotel tempts guests with the promise of unrivaled facilities and service for a truly unforgettable experience; it is surrounded by peaceful, tranquil gardens exuding serenity and offering the ideal escape from daily life. Guests will be impressed by the unprecedented style and beauty of the hotel, which features a contemporary design and elegant interiors. The guest rooms are beautifully-appointed offering a haven of luxury and comfort in which to enjoy quiescence and a restful night's sleep.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
New owners more focused on new spa improvements and new a la carte restaurant. New staff who, it appeared were in the process of training. Therefore no experienced friendly locals working as before. Expensive holiday, prices did not reflect 4* as advertised - 40 euros deposit for pool towels, deposit not returned on leaving but a 5 day wait for refund. Bar area had no atmosphere as previously. Had a junior suite for the first time. The view was awful, facing the back of the hotel onto the bins and the busy smoking area for the staff who were constantly traipsing there at any time of day or night. The breakfast was very good, dinner not so good as most “hot” dishes were lukewarm. On reflection this was our third and final visit we will not be returning.
We have been many times to the Falesia hotel since 2005, when the hotel was a Gold hotel, we’ve had brilliant times and have many happy memories, but life/things change, TUI stopped the gold concept, Brexit, Covid, staff changes, but we still continued our holidays there. Last September/October , the hotel got a new manager! Nearly all the lovely Falesia family staff left, more or less everything changed for the worse. In May we were not looking forward to returning, the first time we’ve ever felt like that, I did speak to the owner and the new manager especially about the evening food, as breakfast was as lovely as it always had been, we returned in June, slight improvement. We then returned last month, the new manager and a few of his staff had gone, which for me was good news. I did speak to the owner once again, and throughout our stay, the evening food did improve and I’m sure it will continue to. We did miss many members of the original staff, but the staff there now are lovely and trying their very best. The owner and staff will be doing their very best to improve the ratings. If any one has any issues please ask to speak to the owner, life at the Falesia is different as I’ve said life changes, it’s still the same place, the indoor pool/spa is fabulous, the outdoor pool is clean. We will be returning again next year and looking forward to it.
Just home from a long weekend here, chosen primarily because it's adults only. Miles from Albufeira, and a good 20 minute walk to the beach.
Our room faced "the garden", which means east, and didn't get any sun from about 11am. There's a rack on the balcony for drying towels and rinsed swimsuits - mine didn't dry at all. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom wasn't huge - no vanity mirror - though towels were decent size, white and fluffy. No hooks for jackets, no storage for long dresses.
1 bottle of water on check in with 2 small tumblers, so plenty of fellow travellers doing the morning supermarket run; easy 10 minute walk away. We stayed B&B, buffet food was good quality though repetitive, and not the greatest layout - you have to walk through the serving area to get to the seating - and likewise to exit. Tables are cleared quickly though, and it's help yourself from the coffee machjines - which have proper decent sized mugs. And of course, no kids, so no food on the floor.
Sunloungers - there are 2 areas - by the pool (some have umbrellas, some are under some rattan shading, almost like a car port....or there's a nice grassy area with the water feature and some ma-hu-sive koi. Shame none of the loungers have cushions, and all could do with pressure washing. Forget getting a poolside lounger after 11am.
Given the average age is over 50, it's quiet. There's evening entertainment, typically a singer, and most couples playing Uno, Whist, Bridge etc.
Unfortunately, a 90min EES experience at Faro means we are unlikely to visit the area again.
After reading the negative reviews we went with an open mind, we had stayed at the Falésia on and off since 2010. The reception staff were friendly and helpful explaining some of the changes since last year, the room was clean, with towels and products. Our room was cleaned daily and towels replaced when requested. The food in the outside restaurant was served to a high standard with friendly wait staff. The greeting in the Brando restaurant was ok but could be improved. The food that was served was varied and to a high standard, the salmon wellington was excellent also the ribs. Sometimes the iPad the staff use for ordering drinks did not work, I assume WiFi problems, which made ordering drinks slow. The staff worked hard and were polite and friendly. The cocktails we thought were expensive compared to last year but the wine and beer good value for money. The outside swimming pool was cleaned daily and was warm enough to swim in every morning. We had a wonderful holiday and if we hadn’t read the negative reviews we wouldn’t have known the management had changed. So well done Falésia team for giving us a relaxing holiday and we will definitely be returning
We were somewhat wary after our visit in May. Things do seem to be improving. The staff,rooms,cleanliness and breakfast a still very good. The evening buffet needs to be addressed. The warm options are rather below the standard this hotel offered. Dishes like chilli, curry, and pasta sauces are very thin and should possibly be in the soup selection. The staff were very welcoming and efficient and it was nice to meet up with the "new" regulars as well as long time staff. It will take a while for the Falesia to regain its top slot but its trying We have booked again for next year so things cant be all bad..
