I can only endorse the reviews that give rise to complaints about this hotel, we have never been before and hoped that the negative reviews were overstated , not at all they were correct and factual. We were bed and breakfast only , thank goodness for that as we did try the buffet restaurant on our first night at 33 euro each , never again it was terrible we spent the rest of our stay eating at the adjacent hotel The Pine Cliffs . Staff poorly trained , one even told us he had no idea what his role was and was being pulled all ways by management , we waited an hour for a sandwich at lunchtime ,thats if you can actually get served. I could go on about the incompetent running of this hotel including the extremely poor evening entertainment but it all come down to inept management and needs sorting quickly but judging by the response of the manager to complaints the chances of this are next to zero
My husband and I recently stayed for a week in the really lovely Falesia Hotel. Having read the negative reviews on here we were concerned as to what we might experience once we arrived there however all our concerns completely disappeared once we got there and saw what a wonderful hotel it is. All the staff are so polite, helpful and courteous and can't do enough for you. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and are cleaned daily by the very hardworking housekeeping staff. All the Hotel and gardens are looked after and maintained to a high standard. The food we found in the Falesia was very good indeed both breakfast and evening meal and we enjoyed the variety they had on offer each day so it did surprise us greatly that so many people on here have complained about the food as that certainly wasn't the case for us. Please don't listen to the negative reviews the Falesia is a wonderful Hotel and is definitely worth visiting as we would certainly return there.
Just on the last day of our weeks stay at this hotel, I can’t fault the staff, room, food and level of service, everything is excellent, if your looking for a restful place to go this is it! Be prepared though it’s been unbelievably hot and can’t imagine what August will be like, if you’re an explorer unless you’re happy to hire a car or use the bus I wouldn’t recommend, there is very little to do in this area
If you need to just chill out go to this hotel as very quiet, no pool activities, no fighting for sunbeds although still the usual towels down with no-one laid on them. Evening entertainment chilled singer that starts at 8pm and finishes at 10pm, then bed (although bar still open). Breakfast fine, evening meals a bit disappointing as been to better hotels with more choices it was OK though. Rooms and beds fine. Staff were helpful and some smiley and chatty. Taxis needed for travel to other parts, hotel does bus service but the taxis are cheaper and you can go and come back when you like. Overall would recommend.
A lovely relaxing hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary with an 8 night stay. I pre-ordered a bouquet of flowers to be placed in our room which was beautiful and great value, and the Hotel surprised and delighted us by gifting us a bottle of sparkling wine which was also waiting for us in our room when we checked in. We stayed in a panoramic view room which was on the top/4th floor. Spacious, spotlessly clean, nice balcony and comfortable bed. Minor quibble for the first 3 days was that only 1 of 2 lifts was working but truly a minor irritant. Resolved after 3 days and at worst we waited 2 minutes for the lift so truly not a significant issue. Pool bar run by lovely friendly staff who always greeted us with a smile. Pool is big and plenty of sun beds and always an option to find sunshine or shade. We were bed and breakfast and judging by some disappointed comments we heard from a few Full Board customers we made the right decision as the evening meal food didn't seem to deliver universal delight. Breakfast was great. Extensive and quality buffet options, supplemented with the most efficient "egg station" I have experienced in ages. There are bars and restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel which gave us good dining options, and a few nights we elected to get an Uber into either Albufeira Old Town or else down to the harbour at Quarteira. The fare to either, one way, was around 8 to 10 Euros and we felt was definitely worth it. Much livelier and many more restaurants. Staff throughout the hotel were brilliant but a special mention to "Carolina Santana" ( hope we read the name badge correctly ) who worked in the main bar and was just so welcoming, friendly and efficient and a real credit to the hotel. Adults Only hotel, so not surprising it was quiet and peaceful around the pool during the day which is exactly what we wanted. The evenings are also quite relaxed and calm around the hotel and if you are seeking lots of excitement and lively entertainment then this is probably not the hotel for you. If though you are looking to relax and be well looked after in a spacious, clean, modern and charming hotel then you will enjoy your stay. We will go back.
