No shame!
First I blame easyJet because they advertise this hotel as 5 stars. If they would advertise as 3 stars I would be indulgent and give them 2 for size and depth of the pool and for the staff. Everything else is crap! Food at lunch time and evening is impossible to be classified! Every day grill was cold and cooked only on one side !!! Every day ! Except Thursday 18/06 when the soup and the meat was really good! We asked if it's a different chef...they said "no". My wife joked and say that maybe he is in a good mood 🤣 Sunday, surprise! - same waiter came to our table and told us that YES Thursday was a different chef 😜😂😂😂. Sunbeds- crap! My bones were screaming STAND UP ! 5 stars and the fridge in the room was empty?! And no ice cream or a local decent cake?! All the evening meals have been a FIASCO! Including the Mexican one and chef is Mexican!😂 If you care about your money AVOID this hotel .
Pick somewhere else to stay
This complex has steadily got worse over the years, I am a timeshare holder here and we have been coming for nearly 40 years. Every year the maintenance fees shoot up but they haven't so much as changed a tile in bathroom in all the years. This year seems to be the worst. The company's focus is on getting as many rooms filed at what ever cost...the all inclusive has destroyed the place. There are plastic drinking cups thrown everywhere and drinking straws even floating in the pool. The stag parties are keeping everyone awake at night with numerous people ringing down to the desk to complain and the queue the next morning for people looking to be moved away from rowdy rooms is a mile long at the desk. I have been here three weeks and there is a constant crowd of lads hanging flags from the balconies roaring and shouting bad language with music blasting from the rooms, that can be heard 7 floors down. The pool side isn't much better, there has little or no upkeep with tiles missing and again hundreds of cups discarded by and on the poolside every day like a clear out from a foot ball match. I loved this place and always though of bringing my girls here, but the all inclusive package has destroyed the place, cheap rubbish food ( saw the guy working the grill PICKING HIS NOSE) and watered down drinks with groups of lads constantly necking dozens of drinks at a time to get pissed by the pool and the roaring and shouting begins again. And now they have started an all day pass... choose somewhere else to stay.

Ignore the bad reviews!
My daughter and I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, bed & breakfast. The apartment was spacious and spotless. The bed linen was crisp and clean, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The bathroom wasn't the most modern of bathrooms, however, it was clean and the shower ran powerful hot water. The air conditioning units worked perfectly.
Breakfast provided an array of choice; fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh bread and everything you would have on an English breakfast.
The pool area was tired in places but the actual pool was clean and a decent size. There wasn't a scramble for sunbeds in the morning but by the afternoon there were very few available (the usual bed hoggers who like to leave their towels down whilst nipping off for a few hours or more).
The view from the pool overlooking the sea was stunning.
All-in-all, a lovely stay. I felt compelled to write a positive review, as I was dubious prior to arriving, having read some very negative comments.

JUST BOOK IT
Absolutely breathtaking hotel second time visiting within a month for short breaks and it’s amazing. The rooms are impeccable! The pillows are the softest thing I have ever slept on and I’m dying to know where they are from as I have never had such a good night sleep as I did with them.
Fantastic spot in Algarve Region; great suites for families. Great location for beach and pools and food.
The Sunflower Block Delilah Collection and Monicca Collection at OVBC was a great spot for families. Probably best beach in Algarve Region. The suites were clean, large, well equipped and superb location. Two giant pools, music, World Cup Watch Parties, super friendly staff. Great value for the money. Great water pressure in the showers and ample closet storage.
