Second Stay and Still Excellent
This was my second stay at the Regency Salgados Hotel & Spa, and I would happily stay again.
The biggest strength of this hotel is the staff. Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful. They really make guests feel welcome and are a credit to the hotel.
The hotel itself is modern, clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the pool area is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some time away.
The location is also good. The beach is within walking distance, and although the hotel isn’t in Albufeira Old Town, it’s only around 12 minutes away by Uber, which typically cost us between €6 and €10 depending on the time of day. For anyone who enjoys the nightlife, restaurants and atmosphere of the Old Town, it’s very easy and inexpensive to get there.
If I were to suggest a couple of areas for improvement, they are only minor points. The toilet paper provided could be of a better quality, and while the breakfast was perfectly acceptable with plenty of choice, it can feel a little repetitive if you’re staying for several days. Neither of these points affected my enjoyment of the holiday, and I mention them only as constructive feedback rather than criticism.
Overall, this is a hotel I have now chosen twice, which probably says more than anything else. Great staff, clean facilities, a lovely pool area and good value for money. I would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to return for a third visit.

Very Deserving of 4 stars 🌟
A super smart hotel . Greeted by the lovely Patricia who was helpful throughout our stay . Rooms were lovely with nice attention to detail. Beautifully thick & soft white fluffy towels , great smelling toiletries and a large comfortable bed . Brilliant digital system to show if you require maids to come in or do not disturb . Breakfast was great everyday , the staff work constantly to keep all food fresh. Bar snacks & splash food truck were great options for food . Lovely pool area & pool , a little chilly but ok when you get in . We eat out most evenings dining at Bellavita , Italian, All you can eat steakhouse, and a few restaurants on the marina which was a nice location . We took a boat trip to benagil caves which was impressive, no dolphin sightings unfortunately. As we both have knee issues we chose to use ubers to get around . They were fast , reliable and very cheap . We had a fab week and would definitely return .
Nice peaceful break
Lovely clean hotel, greeted at 7pm by a lovely gent on reception. We were in room 413 nice suntrap balcony, view not all that. Hotel grounds are spotless. Breakfast was good, fresh tasty continental or bacon/ egg/ beans etc not so hot. Toast machine, coffee machine. Dinner wasn't the best not much to choose from. It's very secluded, little supermarket 5 mins or aldi 25 mins. Beach 5 mins and a restaurant on the corner. Planet fusion bar/ sports bar good food and drinks reasonable prices 👌. We got a uber to old town, shopping and cocktails. Uber to Algarve shopping centre full floor of fast food restaurants and coffee shops. We had a night flight going home they offer to lock yr suitcase in a room and offer u a towel. There is only like 2 plug sockets to charge your phone before you leave not close to where your sitting. All in all it was lovely, relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. Staff were all lovely, really good English and friendly. Thanks
Fabulous Hotel.
Our group of 4 couples enjoyed a fabulous week at this hotel with half board. The food was excellent with a vast choice at Breakfast and evening meal. The bar drinks prices were reasonable and the service great. A very relaxed atmosphere with plenty of outside seating near the bar or at the pool. Spacious rooms with small balcony and all the facilities you need. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. 👍 Only a 5 minute walk to a fabulous beach. TIP: There is a bus stop just outside the entrance but the taxi’s are so reasonable ask the hotel to book you one instead. 👍

Worst holiday ever
This The worst hotel I have ever stay in the food wasdisgusting they had “”izards on the menu the nearest super market was about half a mile t🤪away the spa was out of order istayed on 8sept fo 1 week could not wait to get home the only good thing was the weather my wife tried to book massage but was told they were fully booked in my opinion they used this as anexcuse and another thing this is nowhere near albufiera
