We liked the location of this hotel, the staff were very friendly, it was very clean, even masks and hand wipes in the room and the pool was lovely. However we were disappointed with having nowhere to sit outside especially on a night with drinks. The service, though very friendly was often poor, we had to go to reception a couple of times to ask for bar staff
Positives - Hotel is beautiful. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are large and bed is comfortable...
Area isn’t too roudy but is close enough to everything. Loads of restaurants around. All the food is gorgeous in every single place we ate.
Negatives - pool beds were shocking. At least 1 would snap on someone every day. Really bad. We sat on the floor all holiday. We had 3 snap on our party of 4 people within 4 days of being there. If one of us had been a little less abled, it may have resulted in a serious injury. Balcony wasn’t very big. Just enough room to put your towels out. Cleaning is random if your lucky. Had to ask the cleaner for towels, toilet roll or even a clean some days. Very friendly however. The hotel is in a U shape. They only have 1 door at the reception so if you stay right at the back (rooms 113 - 118 roughly) you have to walk the whole length of the hotel. Should open a fire door at the other side. Massive pain having to do a whole lap of the hotel if you forget your sun cream!
Overall, would come back in a heart beat. Felt very safe throughout COVID in the hotel and in the area. Streets are clean, taxis are safe and restaurants take your safety very seriously.
Stayed here on a 3 night break in January and have the say I thought the hotel was great. Very clean, modern and spacious. There were a good few shops and bars open in the vicinity of the hotel despite it being off season...
The hotel even had entertainment on one of the nights and the bar was really busy. If I was visiting again at this time of the year I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, it was lovely. Despite it being January we even managed to grab a bit of winter sun at the pool.
Recently returned from ten days at the Santa Eulalia and we had a great time. Arrived in late morning due to our flight from the UK being so early, so we weren't sure whether we'd be allowed to check-in or not. Thankfully, we could - which was much needed after leaving home in the early hours. The hotel has clearly worked hard to conform with Covid-restrictions...
Hand sanitiser stations at every entrance, plus a couple more in the bar area, and the reception area was spotless. The need to wear a mask when inside the communal areas of the hotel was also explained by the welcoming reception staff on arrival. Location is excellent, just a couple of minutes from a parade of shops, restaurant and bars. The Strip (not our cup of tea, to be honest...) is then another ten or so minutes walk away, while a couple of beaches were also within easy walking distance. We also walked to the Old Town on a few evenings and this took about 40 minutes (with a stop-off for a drink en route), while we then caught the Tourist Train back for 3 euros each. One thing I did find unusual was the procedure for securing a sunbed. Basically, the doors to the pool area are locked until 9am and guests asked to queue up. A member of staff then comes along to unlock the door and risks being trampled underfoot as everyone charges outside. Not something I've ever seen before but a couple of fellow guests said they'd experienced something similar in the Canary Islands before. It was also not something we were advised about at reception, meaning we had no idea for the first couple of days why the pool area was empty when we looked through our balcony window at 8.50am and then rammed 20 or so minutes later. Also hardly ideal for those guests who may not be as nimble on their feet as they once were. For those not fortunate enough to secure a sunbed next to the pool, a word of warning if you opt for the garden area (as we did on the first day) - take some fly repellent as the little so and so's are everywhere. Rooms were fine, if a little dated. We went self-catering and the kitchen was okay to make a small meal. There is also a supermarket about five minutes walk away that is very reasonable. Our only other gripe with Santa Eulalia, in fact, concerned the size of the balcony in our room. We like to sit out on an evening before heading out but the presence of a giant air-conditioning system covering half the balcony area that also pumped out hot air meant we gave up on that quite quickly. Otherwise, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful.
We have just returned from a week staying at the Santa Eulalia .We had a suite with pool view on the ground floor, and were self catering. Our suite was lovely, of a high standard of cleanliness and decor.Lots of storage space . There is a sitting room, bedroom with twin beds together to make a double, bathroom with bath and shower, a kitchen area with all you need, and a small balcony with table & 2 chairs. The cleaners come every day, later in the day, which suited us as we like to have leisurely mornings and not have to be disturbed too early. We did have to ask for clean towels after 4 days, as they hadn’t been changed. They were brought straight away. The hotel is lovely, with a spacious , well presented reception area, bar and sitting areas. It smells so nice and fresh. The staff were all very helpful and professional, couldn’t do enough for you. I didn’t use the pool area, it’s just not my thing as I prefer the beach, which is fantastic and only a 10 minute walk away.I did use a sun lounger in the garden area one afternoon, but was bothered by flies ! I was amused each morning by watching the stampede to the sun loungers ! The pool area is opened at 9 am, with a queue forming before that, then a rush to claim your bed. There may have been less loungers available due to Covid 19 , there didn’t seem to be sufficient for the number of guests. The beds were thoroughly disinfected each day. The measures put in place for safety due to the Coronavirus were reassuring.Masks always worn, plenty of hand sanitizer stations and social distancing. We felt very safe. The area itself is nice enough.Teasers restaurant, next to the hotel is lovely .There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops close by, with a larger supermarket only minutes away. The old town is best visited by taxi.Hotel reception ordered us a taxi, and we spent a day in the lovely old town. The hotel also sells tickets for the Hop on Hop off bus tours, which we like as you get a good view of all the town. We booked a trip to the gipsy market at Quarteria from the excursion place not far from the hotel.Worth a visit if you enjoy markets and bartering. On the whole, we enjoyed this hotel very much, and would definitely recommend it.We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food.We would certainly return.
