Amazing Hotel & Staff some disgusting Guests

Review by HugoMatiasAlmeidaNorthern Portugal, Portugal

Been in the hotel from 2nd July until 12th. Location is awesome, huge facilites and and amazing garden and seaview.

Most of the staff is very helpful and you feel that the are willing to everything possible for you, despite all the changes that everyone was submited to...

Daniel Dias (Restaurantes managers) is a 5 star asset. At the breakfast you have Rita, Susana, Neuza, and Cassandre that are rock stars. Pool restaurant, Jorge, Fabio and Tiago and the chefs are also rock stars.

We've also been in Mar Club, an adult only space with heated pool, and Ricardo, Carla and Emanuel take good care of us. Lots of fun out there!

We have not be able to memorize all the names, but we have seen couple of gentleman that must but the managers, always present everywhere, breakfast, pool, dinner and reception. Felt warm and safe wich nowadays seems to be most important.

The food is good and there is plenty of option. Saw couple of clients complaining, but hard to understand especially on these difficult times!

A small under: There are some guest that are arrogant, disrepectufl, and seem able to create a constant problem to the staff or even to other clients, like us. (Please stay at home and don't ruin everyone else vacations)

Ok but no cigar

Review by IamsilverGuildford, United Kingdom

Very pretty location between beach, national park and golf course. Big and shiny hotel with fab swimming pools, spa etc.

The down sides are a lack of centre for coffee and people watching; poor quality food for 5 stars. Breakfast works really well and we very much enjoyed...

Dinner Buffet in line with other reviews is just not good enough. Even the extra charge restaurants need to be more special.

Have we enjoyed our visit - yes. Will we have a return on our list - sadly No.

All good. Just watch out for the description/definition of "room with a sea-side"

Not so much sea, but a tiny side view - had to stretch out of the balcony to see the sea. Cheeky attempt at deception with an annoying play on words. Staff were very empathic and tried to make up for a complaint they must have dealt with countless times. Half-board with all you can eat (and drink) in the morning, but had to pay for water at dinner...

Strange. All else was good. Visited in Feb, so resort was very peaceful.

Beautiful resort on the edge of town

Review by JandKLondonLondon

Hotel was good, facilities 5 star although as travelled out of season the eating options in the hotel were limited. Was told off for not wearing a hat in the swimming pool. Breakfast food buffet was excellent, dinner buffet a bit samey. Had to chase up housekeeping to clean our room at 3.45pm. A bit disappointing in a hotel that was a lot less tha full. Location was a bit remote

Good service but not totally 5*

Hotel rooms were really good, clean and large. Staff were all pleasant and provided very good customer service. Breakfast was a 5* plus - nothing was missing...

Pool was good but got really crowded at the end of the day. The free gym is not big enough - There is another gym but a fee is required. The evening meals at the start of the work were 4 at best and one day in particular we were not impressed. They were better at the end of the week when the hotel got more crowded which gave more choice. Still not at 5 level though. No Octopus or Squid all week We would go back - but we would like the hotel to look more at the evening meal
