Birthday Treat
This was a birthday treat and it was a nice hotel but with a few quibbles! Main one was being charged for a bucket of ice 8 euros !!
Totally recommend for family’s
Great location quiet and traditional, hotel was clean with great facilities. We upgraded to have deluxe family room which was great as kids had their own bedroom with a bathroom separating our rooms.
We did live out of a suitcase as there was much hanging space for all our clothes we stayed here for 2 weeks. We did not upgrade to the premium package as we didn’t feel it worth the price and was happy with pick drinks.
All staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our kids enjoyed the children’s activities and signed up when they had activities they wanted to attend. Both children age 10 & 12 took part in the daily pool games which they thoroughly enjoyed.
All bars close at 11pm, they had games tent which was showing all football games every night. The front entertainment tent also showed some games after entertainment had finished.
We went to all 3 al carte restaurants but we preferred the main buffet hall. Every day was a different meat and catch of the day. Lots to choose from lovely salad and fresh bread every day.
I have never gone back to same place before but I would highly recommend this holiday package bought through jet2holidays, who were great with transfers booking trips to water parks etc couldn’t fault the hotel or holiday company.
The hotel has a bridge leading over to beach which is beautiful. 2 bars and restaurants there we are in both food was great.
I wouldn’t recommend going in season we went June 10th-24th. Last 5 days got extremely busy with new arrivals.

first time in Portugal as a young family
Our first time in Portugal as a family with a toddler. We booked the all inclusive premium package for a week in July. We really enjoyed the premium breakfast area as it was much quieter than the main buffet. Toddler pool was great for our little one, room was cleaned well every day. Some staff members went above and beyond providing a great service, and always making our toddler smile - Abdallah, Samar, Antonio and Ravinder in particular were very welcoming. Train into Alvor is great, and beach is lovely. A la carte restaurants are better than the buffet. Overall a great holiday for a young family looking for a relaxing week in the sun.

A lovely hotel with great rooms and fantastic pools. As a family with a young family more flexibility to the dining halls and availability of snacks in the evening would make the stay more enjoyable. Everything closing at 11pm made the days feel like they were cut short. Some small things the hotel could change to make it a 10/10 stay.
