In the heart of Faro, the gateway to the Algarve: This contemporary style hotel is situated in the very centre of the city, overlooking the harbour and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The historical and commercial centres with a large variety of restaurants, bars and shops are just a few steps away. Right next to the hotel is a bus stop providing easy access to the airport and the beautiful Faro Island with its sandy beach. This property offers 134 rooms overlooking the city view or marina views. In-room amenities include LCD TV, safe box, minibar, air conditioning, direct telephone, hair dryer and personal hygiene products. The hotel has restaurants serving local dishes while the bar offers contemporary and relaxed atmosphere with exotic drinks.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We booked this hotel for it's location, roof top pool and marina view.
The room was spacious but a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The bathroom door had a large gap where it met the door frame, this meant any privacy was minimal.
Our room faced the street towards the crepe restaurant, which got a nice bit of sun during the day and wasn't super noisy at night.
Upon exploring the hotel we found out the rooftop pool was closed, which was disappointing as we wanted to have a pool day in the sun on our last day.
ROOFTOP POOL IS CLOSED We only booked with Jet2Holidays last week and found no mention of this Disappointed is an understatement and we would not have booked a stay here had we known (2nd choice was 3HB)
Warning potential guests as all websites for this hotel have pictures of the rooftop pool.
Also, indoor pool requires you to wear a swim hat!!
We arrived late off a hot and crowded bus from Seville( Bus station is a few yards along the road) and what a delight to walk into such a calm and peaceful hotel with the most welcoming and helpful reception staff. Our ( very clean ) room overlooked the marina and had the most comfortable bed. Bathroom was a separate room which is great but it was definitely dated with chipped enamel and a slightly hazardous climb in and out for the overhead shower. The Breakfast buffet was both extensive and delicious and we were able to enjoy it sitting on the terrace outside overlooking the nature reserve.
Checked in with a group, rooms were mixed up, singles got double beds, doubles got singles, mold in my first room along floor board with white spores growing in the mold near the bed, floor boards are spongy as if water has gotten underneath and the boards are lifting, asked for room switch, was given a room which the group already reported smelled like smoke, front desk gentleman took offense to me questioning if the room they were giving me was the same room reported as smelling like smoke, his response “you think I would give you a room that smell like smoke, we had housekeeping clean it”, it still smells like smoke, I am experiencing sinus issues and I would not recommend this hotel.
This hotel is right at the marina. Beautiful, convenient location, central to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to faro train station approx a 15mins walk. Bus station (Alsa Bus) to Spain was just around the back of the hotel. Room was a little dated. Pillows were thin. We had a city view room but it was extremely noisy at night. On our last evening they had a group of young people screaming/singing from one of the restaurants across the road. As the night went they decided to take it to the street. It went on till midnight, which was annoying coz it was that loud that we couldn’t sleep. And we had the window closed. Then early morning I can hear the rubbish truck emptying bottles from the restaurants across the road. However breakfast was very good, decent amount of spread. They even had a pianist playing while we enjoyed our breakfast. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the marina.
