Rural Bricia Du Mar

Rural Hotel Bricia du Mar was absolutely lovely and located in a quiet residential area. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained everywhere. Our room was large with a very well-equipped kitchen area, big bathroom with a super shower and a spacious terrace with table and chairs. The hotel restaurant served absolutely delicious food. All the staff we came across, we're helpful and friendly. Great outdoor pool. We could walk to the cliff-top path in 10 minutes and this led down to Praia do Pintadinho, Praia do Mohle and Praia Grande. We used Ubers to travel further afield and charges were very reasonable. There are no supermarkets nearby, so again used an Uber to travel to the Continente about 10 minutes drive away. The storks nesting nearby were worth the trip alone.

This is an unusal hotel as all on one level, but feels spacious and in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Ferragudo. The room was very nice with everything you needed including a safe, fridge and AC, plus it was spotlessly clean. Check in was quick and efficient and our room was ready for us before 3.00 pm which was perfect. We did not use the gym but it looked well equipped. The pool area is really pleasant with a decent size pool and sunbeds scattered around so not too close to others. The pool bar seved good food and reasonably priced drinks (especially on happy hour). We did not use the restaurant but if we had been there longer we probably would have tried it as looked good. The breakfast was included and was really nice with fresh Orange juice and plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt,ham, cheeses pastries as well as some hot items. It is a good 20 minute walk into the centre of Ferragudo but about 10 minutes to the main beach but there are Ubers available if you do not fancy the walk. Ferragudo itself is a charming town, with a great beach and beach bars and some amazing restaurants and bars such as Nuevo Mundo and the 3 monkeys.

I recently stayed at Bricia Du Mar and it was a fabulous experience.

Every staff member was exceptional (friendly, helpful, professional) including the reception staff (especially Victor); the restaurant, pool bar and breakfast staff - each was professional, friendly and accommodated menu changes to suit personal taste; the cleaning staff (especially the morning staff member who looked after the gym); the night reception staff member (who deserves a special mention for assisting me via email before I arrived and was so helpful with my earlier check out, taxi transfer etc).

The accommodation was very well maintained, with lots of storage, nicely decorated, and a good kitchenette - ideal for a short break.

The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the pool area was a lovely relaxing and quite space.

The gym was excellent with lots of equipment, well maintained and very clean. It would be great if the gym opened earlier to allow more time to use in the morning and to get to breakfast on time, without needing to rush. Also, it lacks air conditioning which made cardio work quite uncomfortable, despite being usually cold outside for the time of year.

Dining options included the pool bar during the day and the restaurant in the evening. The food and service in both were excellent. The breakfast was also of a very good standard, lots of options and the buffet was replenished continuously.

Without hesitation, I recommend Bricia du Mar. Thank you to everyone for ensuring I had a enjoyable stay.
