Walking on the beach, read a magazine on the terrace or simply stroll through the typical Algarve streets. Enjoy a pleasant stay, with many options of entertainment, cuisine and landscape offered by the region. Located just a few metres from the gorgeous Praia da Rocha, in the middle of the Algarve, the principal tourist destination in the country.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great location, staff are so friendly and helpful. This is our first time visiting Portugal.
We have been so impressed with how the people are here. They can not do enough for you, even the taxi drivers are so lovely.
Rooms are spacious, but basic, but this is what I expected. Everything was clean and rooms was cleaned every other day.
Needs a lot of maintenance. Very rundown appearance. Breakfast was average, coffee horrible and orange juice was watered down with a poor taste. Food was slow to be replaced... noisy at night with teenagers..people in pyjamas at Breakfast??? Need a dress code. Inappropriate! Shower slow to heat for 4 people. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Poor quality
Beautiful, quiet, friendly property Rather long way to the beach, but taxi is cheap. Nice restaurant and good food.
Wonderful resort. Really great food with lots of varieties and great Mexican, Italian and Portuguese nights!! Beautiful pool and really friendly helpful staff. Quiet and tranquil but lots of entertainment if you want it !! Really recommend 🙌
I was concerned after reading some reviews just before we went but hopefully i can put some of your minds at rest about this hotel.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the cleaners were continually cleaning the communal areas. The rooms were large and we found the beds very comfortable, though i would suggest some new pillows, though this is due to me being very fussy with pillows! The rooms were cleaned every other day and fresh towels provided.
The pool was clean and we never had an issue getting a sunbed. I recommend joining in with aquafit.
The staff were all polite and helpful though i do have to say that we found 2 of the entertainment staff did not speak English, so they did not really engage with us. There was one entertainment staff who spoke English and did take the time to speak to us. We appreciate that being English doesn't give us the right to expect all foreign hotels to put us first but i would suggest that the activities during the day & evening are catered for a number of different languages not just Portuguese/ French. There were a couple of nights where the entertainment was in English or we could enjoy.
The food was tasty, though i can understand why some people did feel that there was not enough choice. I would suggest that the toaster needs to be changed as it took a long time to toast the bread.
My only real criticism is the lack of lift, we visited with my mother in law who uses a wheel chair as she cannot walk longer distances or use stairs. We were given a disabled room which was great for her but then to access the restaurant and pool area my husband had to wheel her around the side of the hotel. This consisted of accessing a slope which was quite steep. luckily he is fit but for anyone who isn't this would be difficult. Though i would also advise that if you struggled with walking or hills this hotel would not be the first choice if you wanted to go out and about walking.
I have given some negatives but still have to say that the positives out weighed the negatives and some of this is personal choice, we had a great week.
