What an absolutely amazing hotel! I’m not sure where some of the people writing negative comments have been but it can’t have been this hotel.
All the staff on reception, at breakfast, the pool bar and the maids were so friendly and really can’t do more for you, all staff were brilliant from start to finish.
The hotel was very clean, the pool and pool area was cleaned every morning. We did witness the staff removing towels and personal items from the beds when people had saved them and then gone down to breakfast or wherever. Although I would add this needs to be made a regular occurrence as there were days some towels were put down at 8:45 (pool opens at 9am) and people weren’t back until 11/12. This is in no means the staff’s fault, there are signs not to save beds. We heard a women who’s towels were removed say “well it isn’t spain!” which was quite funny as she clearly thought it was okay to save the beds for hours, where there are people wanting to use the beds then and there. We did however manage to get 2 beds everyday so no complaints from us.
The view from the pool is amazing, you can see the whole marina, you could genuinely sit in the pool and stare at it all day long. There’s a review saying the building opposite is an “eye sore” the audacity of some people to want a historic building knocking down because “it spoils the view” is very disrespectful, you are there as a guest, it is not your concern what they do with their history. Maybe take the time to read the information they have provided of the building and learn why it is there, rather than being ignorant.
The pool is in no way too cold, it’s perfect and not unusable. Why would you want a warm pool when it’s boiling in the sun, it’s the perfect temperature to cool down. The pool was busy most of the day so saying it is unusable is quite frankly ridiculous.
If you are planning a stay, leave the birds which land by the pool alone, we saw people splash them away, they’re there for a few seconds for a quick drink or to simply cool down. They were there first, just let them be.
We just had breakfast at the hotel, which was great quality and fresh everyday. There was more than enough choice but not over baring as some hotels have way too much, here they have just the right amount of choice.
For an evening meal you can walk 15 minutes into Praia Da Rocha, which is a nice easy walk. The other direction is along the marina abou 10 minutes, there are more choices in Praia da Rocha but it can be a bit loud as it’s also full of bars but along the marina it is quieter.
There are absolutely no negatives to our stay, it was fantastic from beginning to end. If you are leaving later but having to check out at midday, you can book to use the showers in the spa for free.
We would and probably will book again here, it is one of if not the bet hotels we have stayed in.
If you are planning a stay do not believe the negative nit-picking comments or you might miss out on a lovely hotel.
Thanks for a nice relaxing week away!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jupiter Marina Hotel. Faultless service, reception staff available 24/7, friendly, attentive, and no ask was too much. Always quick to respond to requests and offer facilities. This also applied to staff in the bar and restaurants. Our room was clean, a little smaller than we expected but we were able to unpack and store our belongings without issue. Balcony was a good size. Daily room cleaning service offered (and not at all disruptive), and facilities in the mini bar restocked daily (small cost for water, beer, chocolate, etc.). Food was a very good quality, we were half board, and dinner offered a three course meal with several meat/fish/vegetarian options. The breakfast was a buffet with a number of options including cooked breakfast, fresh omelettes, pastries, continental breakfast, fruit, etc. (something for all). Restaurant service was mostly very quick, with the exception to our last night which was unusually slow, however we were informed that there were new staff working. It would not put us off revisiting if we were in the area again and it sounded from conversations we had heard that some groups were on return visits. The food and drink options at the rooftop bar were also very nice and with varied options. The dinner menu was varied and food always well presented. We used the gym on a couple of occasions, it was fairly small but had the foundational facilities that we needed and fulfilled the job for us. It would be nice if there was some background music playing. We did not use the spa or have treatments as a couple of day's notice was required. We spent time by the pool on two days in our trip, spending the other days at the beach. An hourly shuttle service to the beach was provided which was very helpful. It is just a 15 minute walk to the beach but in the warm weather the shuttle service was a nice gesture and very convenient for us. We did not have any difficulties finding two sunbeds together by the pool on either day we were there (at around 10am), it is possible later in the day that this might be more difficult but we were in peak season and it did not present as a problem for us. Overall, the hotel ambience was calm, relaxed, and we felt well looked after. We found mostly that guests were couples (as were we) with some families and small groups. We were very impressed with the service and facilities in the hotel and felt it was very good value for money.
The ambience of the hotel is very calm and peaceful, its a beautiful building & nicely decorated, the staff were very helpful and the inclusion of the free reception coffee machine was much welcomed which interestingly served the best tasting coffee in the hotel. The views from the pool and roof top bar area were super. The food was of top quality with plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet.
These are minor points only but we didn't like the gravel stuff around the sunbeds and would have liked more choice at evening meal there was a couple of evenings where it came down to only one choice that met our taste.
Went to celebrate my husband s 50th.
Had an excellent stay. Check in was fast, room clean and comfortable with complimentary water. Also still and sparkling water along with coffee available all day free of charge near reception which was great.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and sparkling wine every morning and fresh orange juice.
Location was perfect and there was a free shuttle bus to praia rocha strip during the day. The roof top pool has amazing views and we managed to get a sunbed every day without a problem. The cocktails at the bar were great but food was overpriced so did not eat at the hotel.
Wasnt keen on praia rocha itself but alvor and ferragudo are nearby and cheap to get there with the bolt app.
On the day of my husbands 50th we received two complimentary vouchers for cocktails at the roof top bar which we were really grateful for.
All in all a wonderful stay at an amazing hotel. Thank you.
My husband and I absolutely loved our time here. There seems to be several reviews saying the pool was too cold - this is inaccurate. All pools when not heated can be cooler as your body gets hot with the sun. It was a welcome relief from the blazing sun. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so attentive. The drinks were incredible and the location was stunning. We particularly enjoyed the history of the building across from the hotel was very interesting along with the resident storks. Had the most wonderful time. Special shout out to Rui and the bar staff. The lady with the blonde curly hair was also fabulous as were all of the staff to be fair. Thank you so much for an incredibly relaxing week. The showers before we left were also a great facility just book on the desk in the spa.
