How is this a 5 star???

Review by 503isaaci Portugal

Prior to booking, I was told that the jacuzzi is the only thing that is not working. To our surprise, the sauna and the steam hammam were closed too for “maintenance”.

We asked them to open one yesterday which they happily did and the maintenance person didn’t know why it was not turned on in the first place...

Today, nothing is working and it’s closed for a maintenance. I asked them to open it again and today’s excuse was that they are remodeling everything. If I had known I would not come. Not worth it at all.

Also no water pressure in showers.

Staff people are very nice of course and do the utmost to please the clients. Breakfast buffet was good too. They are not at fault for hotel’s lack of facilities as a 5 star.

Review by ragazz0i Monguzzo, Italy

Enormous hotel, great location, huge gym, nice swimming pool outside but… Waiters were Bringing away my dish while I was still eating. Wellness center under maintenance. Indoor pool cold, lift stopped working and

THE WORST MATERASSE EVER TRIED in 12 years of travels

I asked twice to change it as I could not sleep over this materasse with hills and holes...

Crazy unconfortable

Food was average. Nothin special and pretty expensive.

Not value the 5 stars

Review by Frederico_23 Porto, Portugal

Great resort if you come to the circuit for a race event. Everything was modern and clean. The views for the circuit are amazing. Modern soacious with great balcony rooms...

Nice free parking garage. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Food was good but overpriced for the quality, clealry to take the advantage of no restaurants around the area.

Incredible, unforgettable stay, thanks to the professional service that created wonderful atmosphere

Review by OliwiaB169

The stay was amazing, way beyond what we expected. The service was incredible and we were treated with professionalism. For our New Year's visit, we were given a free of charge delivery to the room with champagne and other treats...

In the restaurant, where food was incredibly delicious, the server - Luis - made sure that our experience is unforgettable. Definitely recommending this hotel, especially in the suite room, where you get to relax to the fullest extent.

Superb Staff. Well Placed for Portimao Track.

Review by mrstraveller1 York, United Kingdom

We chose Algarve Race Resort based on its proximity to the race circuit as we were participating in an event. It’s the best placed hotel by a country mile if speedy access to the track is your criteria, Portimao is a good 25 minute drive away. In my view, it isn’t a particularly good location if you’re not coming for that purpose...

It’s a large, modern, minimalist hotel, everywhere is vast, from the lobby to the restaurant. That also extends to the bedrooms - our suite was a spacious, contemporary affair, all white & light wood, with a generous bedroom, glossy bathroom (plus 2nd loo), airy, bright living area, with double length terrace overlooking the circuit. Ample wardrobe space & plentiful supply of nice bath products. Beds were comfy, bed linens of quality, & we enjoyed peaceful, undisturbed sleep. There are no other restaurants within close proximity (nearest being a 25 minute drive) so we dined for convenience, in-house. We found the restaurant the least endearing aspect of the hotel. It’s sprawling, & featureless. Well, I say featureless, it does have a wall of window giving good views across the hills, but nevertheless, it’s a big, functional, rather ambient free zone. Food wasn’t much cop either, the offer being a limited & uninspiring buffet, or a ‘snack’ menu of pizza/pasta/burger etc. The buffet breakfast was a nice enough spread. The highlight of the hotel was the amazing & very polished staff, they were superb, an absolute credit to, & outstanding feature of the hotel, & they contributed greatly to our enjoyment. It’s a well run operation, which clearly invests in quality training. Overall, a great stay.
