Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Was told that breakfast was from 8- 9.30 so no chance of a lie in. If you missed breakfast you either had to wait for the pool bar to open at 10 to get a toastie, burger etc or walk down to the promenade. The breakfast was the same every day no bacon BTW! Boiled eggs ,scrambled eggs, fried eggs,.small frankfurter, tinned mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, sliced potatoes, sliced sausage, baked beans. That was your hot (Luke watm) selection.! Cold selection of cheese, cold meats, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers & pickles. Yogurts.. Tea & coffee out of urns with cereals & tropical & orange juice, then another section of bread rolls, sliced bread , muffins & cakes & two toasters. There is no shops near hotel to buy food or anything. There is also no parasols around the pools or a working telephone in the rooms, love holidays website needs to be updated. The sunbeds are all worn out dirty looking. We were there from 7-20thJune 2026 and not once were our sheets changed! I don’t think they even had a cloth in their hands to clean the bathroom,,they never even swept the floors properly if at all, let alone wash them! The poolside changing/ shower rooms were a disgrace with stained curtains and tiles. Rusty toilet pans overflowing bins filthy full stop. The local seagulls likes to frequent the pools & leave their mess everywhere . There is no way that they can clean around the pools as there are no drains , so any water laying around goes into the pools.which we saw happen as the painters were there with a jet wash on the walls to clean before painting and the water ran into the baby pool!! The painters were on site early jet washing ,scraping, talking loudly to each other all day while we were there. ( we weren’t told that there was decorators on site)
There is no entertainment or reps here so you get to find out from word of mouth were things are like the two supermarkets, spar & Baptista were a good 20mins walk way if you wanted to get any food or buy water, a 5ltr water for €1.15 or pay €2 for 1.5 ltr at hotel! Getting a bus to Lagos is well worth the 20 mins ride €1.60 each way or get a return ticket for €3 goes to Lagos bus terminal. Get of here and visit the lovely marina & town. Well worth the trip out.
The flower beds around the pool needed weeding & watering in need of a good maintenance.
The walk to the beach is approx 700 steps away which is lovely by the way, you can rent two beds & parasol for the day for €17 after 3pm it’s €13.
I’m staying at this hotel currently and I must say value for money it is an excellent little gem. Yes It is tired in areas and needs a good paint but location to beach is fabulous 5 min walk and pool area is excellent. Staff friendly. Breakfast needs to be upgraded and pool needs umbrellas but can you moan for the budget price. We will come back.
I hated the experience, the room was okay but the breakfast was very bland and there weren’t enough options. But the worst part was definitely the pool area, the changing rooms had poop and toilet paper on the ground, the outdoor showers were very weak and had a lot of bugs. The worst part was a giant diharea mixed with urine and pringles on a wall, with the pringles can on the ground. I don’t recommend this hotel, definetly not a 4 star hotel
A beautiful complex, with friendly and helpful reception staff, but a faded glory that clearly needs renovation. The elevator has been out of service forever, and the rusty fire extinguishers don't provide a sense of security. It's prone to theft, as the cleaners leave room keys unattended in public areas. Broken furniture and trash cans, and a noisy refrigerator hasn't been defrosted in years. Despite a bar, there's (naturally) no food for sale during the low season, not even ice cream. A missed opportunity for additional revenue. The breakfast buffet isn't at the right temperature or taste, and the coffee is simply awful. A beautiful complex with potential, if only maintenance and renovation were carried out. Fortunately, there are plenty of nice beach bars nearby.
We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The location itself is okay — about an hour’s drive from Faro Airport — but everything went downhill as soon as we checked in.
We had booked 3 rooms for 6 adults and 2 infants, but upon arrival we were shocked by the condition of the accommodations. The walls and bathrooms were covered in mold, one bed had a dirty, stained cover, and the furniture was extremely old and unhygienic, including a plastic table that was filthy and outdated. Electrical sockets were poorly fitted, which felt unsafe. In addition, one of the rooms had a broken hair dryer, and in another, the air conditioning didn’t work at all.
We complained to reception within 10 minutes of checking in, asking to change rooms, but the staff were unhelpful and not polite. We were told the hotel was fully booked and that nothing could be done.
For the price and the way this property is advertised, the reality was appalling. The state of the rooms and the lack of basic standards make this hotel feel more like a bad hostel than a proper holiday accommodation. I wouldn’t even qualify it as a 2-star hotel. Honestly, it felt like a complete joke.
