- Portobelo Vilamoura Marina & Beach Apartment Hotel

The hotel's excellent location at the centre of Vilamoura, facing the Casino and a short distance from the Marina, makes it easy to discover Vilamoura's main attractions: bars, esplanades, nightclubs, restaurants and shops. Dom Pedro Portobelo hotel provides studios with kitchenette and spacious apartments with private balconies, most of them with a sea view. With an outdoor pool for adults and a separate wading pool for children, the hotel features a bar and a restaurant that serves Portuguese cuisine. For golf enthusiasts, there is a Golf Desk to help you to book green fees, with special rates and conditions, as well as a courtesy shuttle bus to the 5 Dom Pedro golf courses in Vilamoura.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just returned from this hotel. We stayed in a sea view studio room. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I got great nights sleep. Air con was perfect and not too loud. Kitchenette was a bit of a letdown but that didn’t matter as we didn’t need it. Only got it for the fridge. Bathroom was perfect. Sea views were amazing- room 808. Excellent location so close to beach and marina. Very good breakfast. Spar very close also. Staff were very helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience staying in beautiful Vilamoura. Would recommend this hotel.
Stayed for 4 nights on B&B basis. We were in room 103 and faced the back of the hotel, which didn’t bother us at all. If anything, seemed quieter than the sea view rooms. Huge apartment with everything you needed, beds were a bit hard but excellent shower. Couldn’t find a socket to plug the hairdryer near a mirror? . Balcony facing children’s play area (pic), was large with airer and table and chairs. Breakfast was fresh and staff in the dining area were lovely. Plenty of sun beds by pool and a shaded area by some trees if you got too hot. A stones throw from the beach and Marina.
Just back from the Dom Pedro Portabello - we have been to Villamoura alot but this is the first time we stayed here. We were very happy with everything. Check in was all so smooth & the reception staff were so helpful, nothing was a problem. We had a 1 bedroomed sea view, Room 310. It was lovely and spacious & we could not fault it. Other reviewers had mentioned towels were not good quality, they were not I guess but they were fine for us. Breakfast was nice & the pool area is well maintained. We will certainly be returning.
Booked a last minute holiday for February half term. Despite the pretty dismal weather throughout our stay, we found the hotel very well situated to the marina and nearby shops. Rooms were well appointed, clean and spacious. Rooms had fan heating available which was fortunate as evenings did get cool with lack of sun throughout the day. Reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were very friendly and welcoming. Quality of food was good. Special thanks to the Nepalese waitress( sorry dont recall her name) who attended to our table most evenings with courtesy and consideration. Wouldn't hestitate to rebook.
What a fabulous hotel. Yes it’s fittings are a bit tired but still functional and very clean, bathroom had been updated and was lovely. If the hotel is updated then the prices will just go up. Staff are very friendly. I ate in the restaurant both evenings I was there and the food was delicious. Cannot praise the staff and facilities highly enough.
