Hi. Read a few reviews where people moan. Nothing to moan about really. Room was spotless, Staff amazing especially pedro. What a great friendly guy. Asset to the hotel. 5 star buddy👍. Pool great but tread wisely, bit slippy. Entertainment not great but ok. Food ok. Bit same each time but fine. I'm pretty fussy but fine. One grumpy smile less older dark haired woman serving in restaurant where everything was too much trouble,but everyone else was amazing. Drink plentiful and cocktails off and on menu were great. Thank you everyone. Great stay.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Staff were all amazing, friendly and extremely hard working. All working very long hours. Pedro was lovely in the Sports Bar. Weather was lovely and hot and so much to do around the area. Lots of restaurants around the Hotel. Taxis are reasonably priced. Food and drink at the hotel was good, the only issue was around the pool where it was a bit slippery. A couple of people fell over. Great idea was the water bottles supplied in the rooms to fill up at the water stations.
Great hotel!
Just a gorgeous hotel! One of the best we've ever stayed at. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and had a great sea view. The restaurant had plenty of choice, morning, noon and night! We did make use of the microwave to warm some food up, but we always find the buffet style food to be a bit on the cool side. There are 3 themed restaurants if you want a change! And 3 bar areas, a sports bar with snooker table and football on TV, the Piano bar with music some evenings and the entertainment area. We liked all the entertainment, especially the folk dancing. The pool area was never crowded in November, but of course the outdoor pool was cold. We did swim in the spa pool which was warmer. And used the Jacuzzis, sauna and soa, which are all free on your all inclusive. I think the hotel could make this a bit clearer as they said to "book" for the jacuzzi area which was a bit confusing. We loved it in there, it's like a fairy grotto. The hotel is on a nice promenade area with lots of shops nearby. We walked into Finchal, it took about half an hour and got a taxi back for 9 euros. The only minor criticism would be that this hotel is not for children. There's nothing at all for them to do hence there were occasions when they took over the spa pool. They weren't bad kids by any mrans, just bored! I think the hotel would be better classed as adults only. We would definitely visit again for the warm sunshine and warm welcome.
Fabulous winter break
Had an absolutely lovely stay at this very friendly hotel , couldn’t fault it in any way, and the weather was fantastic during our stay in late November. The food and drinks were excellent quality and very well presented. The variety on offer was fantastic ( especially the fish, which regularly included, Salmon, black scabbard, golden bream, octopus and many more ) don’t worry meat eaters and vegetarians plenty of excellent choices to. The drinks on the all inclusive were extensive and extremely enjoyable 😂.
The staff were so friendly and attentive, such an asset to the hotel.
The hotel is nicely situation with some nice walks nearby. It is a nice walk down into Funchal which takes about 40 minutes , and we took the bus back up ( bus number 1 or 2 ) which was €1.95 each. Pleanty to see and do in the capital , such as the cable car , local shops and markets etc , we popped into the CR7 museum, well worth a visit and only €5 euro entrance. All in all a great winter break , thank you so very all at Enotel Lido , can’t wait to visit again
Lovely stay
Very enjoyable stay and a great base for exploring ths beautiful island. Food was generally excellent...loved the Italian and madeiran restaurants. Staff excellent...kind, attentive and service orientated. Great walks along the promenade, and up to local viewpoints. Finally...the house wine...particularly the setubal red...was very tasty
