Vera Nice and good hotel .the location is Very good with Nice Sea view The hotel does take immediately action if something is gong wrong by accident The service is very good and professionality of the hotel employees is very high
Having stayed in other hotels in Funchal, both part of other groups or part of the same group, we have found our favourite hotel. We've just had the best 10 day stay ever... The hotel and pool area is just great. Its a great location, easy walking into Funchal with bars and restaurants around. The bedroom was very well furnished. Beds and pillows were just great...
The breakfast was among the best we've ever had. THe staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough to help. And the nightly entertainment at the Portofino bar was out of this world. There was a live act every night - starting not too late and it always ended by 10:30 so if you needed an early night, you weren't kept awake... We'd highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back here ourselves on our next visit to Madeira.
Excellent hotel beds are a dream .Staff every one go out of there way to help you.You also have choices from the other hotel on complex to use swimming pool and there restaurant.I have stayed there many times and always look forward to going back
We stayed in a sea view room. It was a good size with a side view of the sea and view of the pool and gardens. The balcony is a decent size and also houses a clothes line/airer. The double bed is huge - two twin beds pushed together...
The room has a small fridge (bigger than the standard hotel mini bar), kettle, safe and a good sized wardrobe. Instant coffee and tea bags were refreshed daily and they supplied creamer and sugar. We were on half board, and would probably not do that again. Although the meal offerings were varied, with soup, salads and hot foods and a large range of desserts if you are a pudding person - we didnt always fancy what was on offer, perhaps because we normall eat quite a lot of vegetarian and spicy food. Drink prices were fine, a litre of still or sparkling water with set you back about 4 euros.
The grounds are beautiful and it was nice to stroll in them after dinner. Staff were all frindly and helpful. Cleaner was great.
Highly recommend.
Fabulous hotel. Rooms were large and beds very comfy. Had a ground floor room with a large patio area which led out onto the spacious and lovely gardens...
Rooms were cleaned every day, Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. Bus stop outside the hotel and plenty of taxis around, couldn’t ask for a better hotel.
