Bland food, tired hotel soulless surroundings

Bland food with soulless surrounding

We stayed in this hotel for a week as a couple.

The only amazing things about this hotel Is the view, looking over the breathtaking ocean, the rest is terrible.

The rooms are looks tired, and cleaning were not 5* at all...

It takes us long time to find the way to go main pool and spa. Too complicated to navigate around hotel. The evening were dead quiet, only soft piano music from the bar. Not much happening in the hotel…. the food in ocean restaurant is very bland and basic, the staff generally cold and make us felt not welcoming. They have strange policy where the minibar in room kept empty! we have to ordered a bottle of water in middle of night and charged £8.80 for room service for one bottle. Another occasion one of us forget their face mask and we kindly request to have one to enter the ocean restaurant the staff approach were “ we already give you one you can go and buy one from the shop” in front of all the guest. We raised the the complain to customer ambassadors but they came back us with completely different story, no much done.

We loved Madeira island, however we will not recommend this hotel as it is not worth to what we paid for.
