Located in a quiet residential area, with free parking, just outside Calpe, this boutique hotel is a little faded, particularly in the bathrooms, and needs an upgrade. On the positive side the staff are brilliant, helpful and efficient. The hotel has two restaurants, one an exceptional experience ( see separate review )...
Both are very popular and successful. If owned by the same people the profits from the restaurants should be used to upgrade the hotel.
Recently returned from our 8th break here and already booked our 9th next month so fair to say we love this wee hotel. Great welcome, well appointed rooms, quiet location but short walk to beach, super clean and of course love our time in the private spa area. Breakfast now pre order and table service due to Covid however we both agreed we prefer this method and no problem should you wish to order extra...
Service with a smile as always from Sandra and great fresh produce. Thanks again!
Bad things: mattress is all bumpy, requires update. Some bathroom issues: toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Picture of dog with a sausage is disgusting for vegan and not appropriate for bedroom...
Should be replaced with some beach view or city/nature painting. Breakfast is below average— no choice. Especially for a vegan. At night somebody opened the door with their key and entered my room. Reception apologized that they gave the other guest our room number with programmed key card from our room. That was very scary to have someone opening the door and entering the room at 3am. I could not sleep ever after.
Liked spa, cosmetics, welcome sweets, free tea/coffee, balcony.
We stayed here over Valentine's weekend, as bed and breakfast.
The hotel is located in a nice area, in easy reach of both beaches and supermarkets etc.
The staff are friendly and always said hello and were there to answer questions when needed...
The rooms are a good size and included two single beds pushed together to make a large double, a desk, TV, wardrobe and bathroom. They were very clean and nicely decorated. Our room had a really big balcony overlooking the pool with two sunloungers and a small table and chairs. I think it is the biggest balcony I have had in a hotel. The only downside in my opinion was the bed, the pillows were a bit hard for me, although obviously some people would like that.
We had breakfast, which was nice, but there wasn't much choice and I think if you go at busy times there wouldn't be much left. For example, one day there was only one box of cereal left (the small individual boxes) and when we left one morning there was only one yoghurt left. They do replenish the items but this seemed slow so you could be disappointed. The breakfast consisted of a small choice of pastries, small choice of cereal, ham, cheese, some fruit and choice of yoghurt. You could have eggs but they were made to order.
Overall, we had a great weekend, the spa was nice and the session was private so that was great. We would definitely return here. The price was good for the standard of the hotel.
We came for 2 nights, everything was fine, the food was ok(breakfast adequated but limited),nice spa and swimming pools, the room was clean and bathroom as well.Just one thing, our room was next to cleaning room or something like that and we could hear early at morning the some machine which made our sleep a bit uncomfortable...
