We stayed at the ambassador 1 last week , beautiful hotel the staff were excellent . room cleaned daily, reception staff helpful at all times food was plentiful , spa was amazing . Highly recommend this hotel , we shall be returning. Thank you hotel ambassador .
Plus points, Superb location if you want the entertainment of the strip, 250 metres from the excellent beach, excellent clean and modern rooms, unusual for Spain a happy and helpful staff who are a credit to the hotel. The food won't disappoint British guests apart from a few misses with the cooked meat. Very competitive drinks prices meaning you won't need to face the rip offs on the strip until later.A lovely South facing pool area with enough loungers and 2 available bars to keep you topped up......Downsides , there is some low level noise almost all night due to the party goers on the pool side of the hotel but it never really spoiled it for us. If you want quieter go the opposite side of the hotel however the road is not a particularly pleasant view. The British menu was great for a short period with some additional Spanish dishes but 2 weeks of full English breakfast might wear a bit thin, but there was just enough variation so that a week was fine. .......Out and about , turn right from the front for the main strip , right again for additional show bars and follow around left left to be back on the strip and the excellent cafe Benidorm . Turn left from the front for Neptune's (Morgan Tavern) and along the same street towards the Sol Pelicanos (Solana) but don't expect a welcome there. Another 100 yards to the indoor Market for money exchange among other stuff. From the hotel down to the next street over and the Avenida Mediterrano where for around £1.50 you can get to old Town to the right or albir or altea some 5 miles up the coast on bus 10. You can use the QR code to find when the next bus is due ( beware of Internet scams though). The beach is fabulous with plenty of coffee shops and bars although less as you walk towards old town. Old Town the Spanish quater can be found beginning carrera de Trinidad. Where there are many excellent tapas and better wine than the strip. If you want a central point Olivers English bar is a good place to head for although we ate Spanish next door. Things to see there are the church and what was the restraint scene with Les and the oracle ( Johnny vegas) . ....in conclusion we can absolutely recommend the Ambassador and will return one day as our hearts ached going back home. No its not perfect but is a very good choice for many reasons.
This was our first trip to Benidorm, as a change from the Lakes for our Anniversary. The hotel was recommended by a friend due to the location and spa and upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the Hotel. It looks fresh, and has been tastefully refurbed. The location is superb for the strip, and considering the closeness to the bars , we didn't notice any noise. The cleaners are very thorough, and the staff in the restaurant are some of the nicest I've experienced abroad. The food was great too , with both breakfasts and dinner being really nice with a decent selection. The spa was 18Euros per person and was worth every penny! Also a shout out to the gentleman who was the night staff on the desk, who , when i needed a bottle of water for heartburn, paid for it with his own money when the machine wouldn`t take my notes. ( i repaid him the next night ) But this was a trending theme throughout our stay of the staff going above and beyond. Myself my wife and our friends have all said we will definitely be back next year.
Stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days, its just simply lovely, everywhere is spotless clean and so comfortable. The food is really good and always plenty to choose from. My husband has to have a gluten-free diet which we were a bit concerned about but have no fear this hotel is just fantastic we were looked after by the restaurant manageress Jacinta who was just amazing, she was rushed off her feet but always gave us her time to ensure the right food was provided. A big thanks to all her team and of course the lovely chefs. All the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel and we will certainly be back next year. Thank you Ambassador
Very impressed with the look and style of the hotel, very clean. Our bedroom wasn’t large but big enough for two people, nice big bathroom and shower was great! The food was very nice too lots to choose from, toaster was the best ever, only had to put your bread in once to get a nice even colour. Couldn’t understand why we were only left tea, coffee milk on our first day….asked for more but none was left so we bought what we needed at the shops, it wasn’t until our last day that we found out that if you go to reception and pay 5 euros you can have enough tea/coffee for the rest of your stay! I wonder if this applies to the shampoo and shower gel as we were only left some on our first day? Beds and pillows were comfy , Evening entertainment was watchable, drinks reasonably too. Bar staff work hard…. Will we stay again….yes most definitely!
