Right at the heart of the city - in the old Spanish quarter - the Avenida Hotel is one of the region's best located hotels. With easy access to all the entertainment on offer in Benidorm, and even easier access to the magnificent Levante Beach (just 75 metres away) the Avenida Hotel really is perfectly placed to give you the best Benidorm holiday experience.
With its wide sun terrace, rooftop pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, the Avenida Hotel lets you take full advantage of that wonderful Costa Blanca climate. Take up a sunny spot and just relax. The Jacuzzi is always inviting and there's very little that can beat a swim under the blue skies of Benidorm in the rooftop pool.
The Avenida Hotel is an easy place to while away an afternoon under the sun. But when you want to stretch your legs, try the lovely seafront promenade; there's lots to explore. And the superb sandy beach is just a stone's throw away.
Time for a siesta? The Avenida Hotel is cool and inviting. Step into the smart lobby and head up to your air conditioned room. All double / twin bedded rooms all are equipped with satellite TV, hairdryer, telephone, safety deposit box and an empty minibar (for a small fee it can be filled). Most rooms even have a balcony - just ask when you book.
The Avenida Htel has its own gym, Jacuzzi and sauna* facilities too. Well worth a look for the holidaymaker who wants to get the utmost relaxation out of this holiday.

Enjoying the perfect location in the centre of Benidorm in the old Spanish quarter, the Hotel Avenida has easy access to the shops & entertainment in the heart of the city. With Levante beach, considered to be one of the finest sandy beaches in the region, only 75 metres away as well as the beautiful seafront promenade & local bus services approximately 200m away it has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday.
Nice hotel clean tidy nice reception Very Spanish e we hunch is fine Food is mediocre at best Spent an evening in bar see friends and joined them then was told to move as they not in our bubble to which they was told to sod off Then an hr later we was literally forced out the club bar by at least 3 staff even though we had half our drinks left .... wil never stay here again feel truly mugged off and most disappointed with
I wanted a last minute break to Benidorm and as it is peak season and I was having to travel solo this time, a Jet 2 holidays package to this hotel seemed the best value, although I usually book hotel and flights independently. At the beginning I would have given it 3 out of 5 but now I think it deserves four. The location is great, in the old town, one block back from the sea and the staff, especially in the restaurant, work so hard and are so friendly...
I went all inclusive and would say the food and amenities are on a par with a 3 star hotel. The rooms are simple, but adequate. The bed in my single room was large and super comfortable, the shower worked fine and there were a couple of English speaking channels on the TV. The rooftop pool is small but I managed to get a few swims in. There are no umbrellas but on the top terrace there is a shaded area and even though the hotel was very busy, it was peaceful - no loud music - and I always managed to get a sunbed - yes they are not very comfortable. The hotel is only 6 storeys and I had emailed to request a high floor, walk in shower if possible and a balcony. I got a 3rd floor room with shower which looked into the back so not picturesque but quieter than one facing the front Street. I was told on check in that a balcony was available halfway through my trip, for the last 2 days, but I didn't bother swapping. They only have one beer, Estrella Dam - on draught or bottles- and the free snacks for all inclusive at the rooftop bar are sure - chips, chicken nuggets or burgers and stone cold if they've been there a while. The entertainment isn't up to much unless you are Spanish or getting on a bit and if you have mobility issues, this hotel isn't for you as the lifts take forever to arrive. Towels are lovely but take your own shampoo and shower gel. I didn't like what they provided and the hairdryer in the bathroom is rubbish. They have a cocktail of the day at the pool bar. I had a tequila sunrise one day but it was a bit naff because the barman put Fanta orange in instead of fresh orange lol. When I come with pals we stay at Flamingo Beach - adults only and lovely, but for a solo holiday this has been ok on the whole. I've felt really comfortable and the weather has been superb. 30 to 35 degrees every day and I have so enjoyed getting away for five days after lockdowns, so I am feeling quite affectionate towards Avenida. Hope this review helps you to decide if the hotel is for you. It is a nice change from the new town.
Check in was nice and easy the rooms are modern and fresh, with twin singles wall mounted tv and a fridge bathroom had a bath in with a mixer shower head food was lovely but not a large selection but eat fine every day waiting staff were helpful and freindly bar service branded spirits such as Smirnoff and Bailey's bar very nice all in all great stay would go back
We stayed in the hotel for 4 weeks from the 05/09/21 to the 03/10/2021 and we were so glad to be back as we have been going to this hotel for years and always have a great time. The hotel is in the old town of Benidorm and it is only 5 mins to the beach. 18 euros for two beach beds and a brolly...
When you walk out the hotel door if you walk to your right you can visit the new town which depending on how fast you walk can take about 30 minutes. Turn to your left and you can explore the old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town. You are near Tapas alley and the Gin & Tonic street. The food and drink is cheap and tasty. Plenty of tapas bars to try. The hotel is very clean and the main lounge is cosy. The rooms get cleaned every day, with towels and the beds are changed every second day. Note that if you like a tea in the morning there is no tea or coffee facilities. Some of the rooms have walk in showers. The rooms have a sea view at the back or a street view at the front and side. All the reception staff are very friendly and helpful especially Ramiro. The bar and restaurant staff are fantastic. So friendly, polite and very professional.. Every time we went to the restaurant our cava was waiting at our usual table. Thank you to the two Jose's. Upi, Frank and all the others. We had a fantastic time and the service was great. Thanks to Esperanza for keeping us entertained along with Ruben. During our stay we had to follow the Spanish covid rules which was wearing your mask at all times apart from eating and drinking and staying in your own bubble. At the pool the beds were placed 2 meters apart which was good and you had to wear your mask at the pool bar. This did not bother us at all but some guests were not happy at this. If you are in another country other than the UK then follow the countries rules re covid. In this case Spain. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great staff, clean rooms, good food and great location. Gong back in January and cant wait.
The best thing to recommend this hotel is its location. It's in the heart of the Old Town, a short stroll to the Levante beach, bars, shops, restaurants etc. The 4-Star rating is given by the [Generalitat Valenciana] regional Valencian government the Costa Blanca Hotel Association [HOSBEC]...
Therefore, don't expect 4 Stars to correspond to international standards. The hotel could do with a complete refurb. Whilst it is clean and comfortable, it is now looking very dated and, in some areas, decidedly shabby. We were on a full board basis (thanks to an upgrade by Tui). The dining room is very large and very noisy. The food was plentiful and varied. However, it was often tepid due to a lack of heat lamps on the servery/pass. We ordered a packed lunch for our boat trip to Calpe. Every item was inedible. The nectarines were like cricket balls! A complaint to the hotel manager resulted in a polite, begrudging apology. The hotel has a small rooftop pool and a bar/lounge area (10.30-18.30). The rooms were comfortable and clean. Make sure you insist on a room with a balcony overlooking the street, as some of the 'interior' rooms are akin to a prison cell. The room has a safe for which you must pay separately to use! The room was serviced daily, with clean bedding every 3 days. There is a small drinks chiller in the room. There are no facilities for making hot drinks. Should you require an iron and (table top) ironing board, this has to be ordered/collected from reception. The wifi is free and of offers a good, consistent signal. The staff at this hotel were very friendly, hard-working and helpful. Given that there are a LOT of 4* hotel options (Cimbel, Sol Costa Blanca, Don Pancho, Belroy etc) in this area of Benidorm, we wouldn't chose to stay here again.
