Looking forward to returning next year

Review by Catlover_1958 Accrington, United Kingdom

Have stayed at the Benidorm Plaza since 1997 and do not recognise John M's review - the hotel has always been excellent with amazing food and accommodation. How would he know the ham was out of date , it doesn't come in a packet. Security has always been extremely good also...

We couldn't visit this year for obvious reasons but my daughter and I have already booked for next June and look forward to seeing all our old friends again - Juan Miguel, Rocio, Jose Pedro and everyone else. Can't waint!!!

Great hotel

Review by Ycycgc

We spent four nights at this hotel and came home on Sunday 15th March amidst the coronovirus sadness and restrictions. The hotel is in a good location near the old town which is the best part of Benidorm. The rooms are clean and tidy, we had fresh towels and room was cleaned daily...

The staff were all lovely and worked very hard day and night, special thanks to David the barman for which nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, there was a huge choice and all well presented and replenished constantly. Even when restrictions came into place we were all treated well and looked after, couldn't fault anything with this hotel.

2 stars with high price

Review by 317dainiusm

The room we stayed in was old-fashioned and dated, not clean, the bed was dirty and uncomfortable, the safe did not work, furniture was broken. Mold in the bathroom. In the corridor all the time the carpets were dirty, plenty of garbage, always the smell of cigarettes, wallpapers were torn...

Breakfast was not tasty, chaos in the restaurant, no free dishes, cups or tables. The ham was out of date and smelled bad. The staff did not let to sit 3 persons at 4 persons table, so we sat at 2 persons. Impossible to catch an elevator, always needed to wait for a long time. Seabeds at the pool were very old, dirty and after 9 a.m impossible to get them. Our 2 towels and a bag disappeared in an hour, was looking for them around the hotel as there weren't any cameras. Staff did not solve problems. No parking and impossible to park in the street. Totally spoiled vacation!

Short break

Review by 366traceyree Burton upon Trent, United Kingdom

My husband and i booked a four night stay at the Benidorm Plaza. We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay near to the old town. We were near to everything and not far from the front...

Our room did overlook the road at the front but for a short stay we did not mind and the room and bathroom were kept very clean. only small problem was the shower was a bit leaky but that was our only niggle. Breakfast was very good with your usual hot options and continental too. There was even cava to have in your fresh orange juice. We stayed on a half board basis and chose to have dinner. There was always plenty of choice and you would be very picky not to find something you liked. Yes the food is aimed more at the spanish taste but that is what we like. A few nights the desserts could have been bettr but on our last night there they were really good. We enjoyed our break and are really glad we managed to get away before Spain went on lockdown.

Great little break

Review by Bucksyboy Wigan, United Kingdom

I have travelled a lot and stayed in 5 star all inclusive hotels in Mexico, and this didn’t disappoint. Good location, very clean. I had read bad reviews about the food but we found it lovely, buffet style and plenty of choices...

Certainly not cold as I had read! Did a lovely Gala buffet on Friday night. Pool area doesn’t stay in the sun till late, but there are other terraces you can go on to get it till late. Pleasant stay
