Awesome, chilled hotel

Stayed for a week with my teenage Daughter. Hotel spotless, staff lovely, location in the old town, absolutely perfect. The food, while great was a more European menu than I was expecting so if you're a fussy British eater like my Daughter, you may be better room only as there's so many lovely places to eat near by...

This is most definitely a relaxing hotel (exactly what we wished for) so if you're wanting to party by the pool, book in the new town. My only negative, the drinks prices were expensive... 2 euro for a 500ml water really, really grinds my gears. They are pretty militant on policing bringing your own drinks to meals. I would rather pay more per night than feel ripped off in that way. Other than that, perfect 😍

Lovely time in Centro Mar

Review by papoulille Lille

We had a lovely time in this hotel.

Very good location, in the centre of the old town, close to shops and bars, the 3 beaches 5 minutes’ walk… slowly… it was hot.

Our room was clean and spacious (try to book one with balcony and sea view like ours): Tv; safe (1£/day) if needed; bathroom is a good size, walk-in shower, toilet and sink; everything cleaned every day.

The experience could be improved by having some kind of awning or parasol to make the most of the terrace seating area during the day, for those who do not want to sunbathe but want to enjoy the view. A basic kettle could be a nice addition in the room.

We booked full board and it is ok for the price. The breakfast buffet is good: pastries, dry fruits, hot dishes (full English possible), bread, toasts, yogurts...

Lunch and dinner buffets were sufficient, with 2 fish, 2 meat, a choice of veg, desserts’ choice ok, however having lunch and dinner every day there, we found that the choice could have been more diversified. After a week it was repetitive. Breakfast, or ½ board might have been a better option for us and we didn’t want to spend more money eating out.

The rooftop pool is small (if you want to swim choose the beach) but great to sunbathe and dip in to cool down! Having the possibility to order a drink at the bar (open 12.00/22.00) is a good thing.

However, it is the staff make this place a nice place to be. Always here to help, advise, book a taxi or deal with an issue or a request promptly. Luis and Aaron (just to mention those 2) are brilliant, always working hard but always taking time to have a word with you and with a smile, either at 6am or 12pm!

To sum up, a good value hotel, basic but clean, central, sensible size, good amenities, great staff (see above) and with “an Amazing view” from the pool (and your private terrace, if you have one on the 6th or 5th floor)!

Best hotel staff!

I stayed here for a short holiday with my Mum in June 2022 and all I can say is the staff who work there are a credit to the hotel! We were welcomed by Alejandro who was expecting us and pleased we arrived safely after a flight delay. After requesting a room safe and not sure he had the right key, he accompanied us to our room to ensure it was correct before leaving us to settle in. The room was clean and comfortable...

Some would say basic, but really all we needed was a bed and bathroom! We stayed in room 505 and had a lovely large balcony which over looked the sea. The only thing I would say, is the room could do with a mini fridge to keep drinks cold. During our stay, there was quite a heat wave going on so we tried the air con unit which didn't seem to work properly. After an uncomfortably sweaty night, we reported the air con unit and an engineer came to fix it that morning. Unfortunately it didn't work the following night so after reporting it the next morning as well as requesting a late check out, we were offered a different room with working air con that we could have for late check out with no extra charge! We couldn't have been more pleased with how they dealt with the whole situation. We had breakfast in the hotel once. This was due to us finding out that no where nearby was open for breakfast before 10am. I guess we are just early risers! Breakfast had all the usual things, buffet style and we were more then happy with it. I probably would've gone here everyday had we worked this out sooner! The roof top pool is small and maybe more of a plunge pool to cool off at, but all the same it was pleasant with a few loungers/chairs. I would make a small change here and add an extra parasol, there was only one and more would've made sitting up there in a heat wave so much more comfortable. If you do decide to stay here, and I recommend you do, tapas alley is just around the corner which offers a lovely selection, the beach is barely a 5 minute walk and there are loads of places to eat and drink with gin alley also just down the hill!

Lovely Hotel

Review by 52MichelleD London, United Kingdom

The staff here were fantastic, on our first night out air con stopped working, they tried to fix it but it was still broken so they moved us to another room straight away.

I loved the roof top pool it was lovely to have a swim after getting back from the beach, I found it a bit hot to sit up there all day. There is a little bar so you can have a drink as well...

The location is a also a bonus as it’s in the heart of the old town near lots of restaurants and bars with all the beaches a short walk away.

Rooms are basic but clean and the bed are comfortable. The bathroom is modern with good showers.

I would definitely come back.
