Gala Placidia Hotel

Enjoyed the visit, changed rooms to pool view no problem, just paid a bit extra. Very clean staff lovely, food first 2 days wasn't brilliant but got better as the week went on. Good location, up a bit of a slope if you have mobility issues. All in all value for money

We cannot fault our entire experience at the Hotel Gala Placidia from start to finish. Based upon our recent all inclusive week away with them we'd say they definitely earn their 3 star hotel rating!!

There was a varied selection of dishes at every meal and the presentation and freshness never disappointed! The staff were always pleasant and helpful, they had a good range of all-inclusive drinks (including cocktails) which definitely weren't watered down. The pool table, evening quizzes and games together with table tennis and pinball machine kept us entertained and if you like a bit of nightlife all the bars and clubs are just a short walk away.

There are shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away and the beach is about a ten minute walk, making it an ideal base for exploring what Benidorm has to offer. We'd definitely recommend that you go to the old town part of Benidorm and if you book an excursion you only need to walk 5 minutes to the pick up point.

The pool was absolutely FREEZING but hey, ... it was November lolol

The room we stayed in was clean, tidy and exactly what you'd hope for from a 3 star hotel .. comfy beds, clean linen, (Spanish) TV, absolutely fantastic shower and a space to hang your clothes up.

The fact that there were a good number of Spanish people there didn't bother us in the slightest, it was lovely to see them enjoying themselves and the entertainment staff were mindful to include both the English and Spanish in all their nightly quizzes and games.

To conclude, we'd definitely come back as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and now have matching waistlines to prove how good and plentiful the food was!

Great hotel in a good location. Small and friendly hotel with great selection of food/drinks. We chose Gala Placidia as we prefer to stay in smaller hotels. Our room was quite basic but comfortable and clean. Lovely hot, powerful shower and bed was super comfy. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels etc… We thought the quality and choice of food was excellent and there were Chinese, Mexican and Spanish themed nights during our stay, all really good. There was a snack bar available in between meal times which served, burgers, hotdogs, toasties and pizza. Some snacks were included in the All inclusive option but not all. Good choice of drinks, including Amstel beer, sparkling wine and freshly made cocktails, as well as all the usuals. The drink token idea was good if you wanted to drink outside, saved people leaving their cups everywhere! The token system didn’t apply inside and drinks were served in glasses, you could even get beer in a pint glass, which is not always the case in some hotels. Although this was a small hotel, there was plenty of outside space, 2 pools on 2 levels with plenty of seating and sun loungers. The hotel was always kept clean and tidy inside and out. Throughout our stay, staff were always friendly and welcoming and all worked really hard.
