So you've got the sun, the sea and the sand. You've got all the bars, restaurants and attractions of Benidorm at your disposal. Now you're just going to need a hotel to go with that...
Take a look at the Gala Placidia Hotel. It's one of Benidorm's best located hotels, just 600 metres from the gorgeous Levante beach (Please note that the hotel is up a steep hill). Better yet, it's one of Benidorm's friendliest hotels too. Let's be honest, Benidorm is all geared up for tourists - they know how to treat us well. But staying at the Gala Placidia Hotel can feel just that little bit extra special.
When you're in Spain, it's nice to be close to the beach. And when you stay at the Gala Placidia Hotel you're only going to be about 600 metres away. Perfect. The beach at Levante is one of the region's best too. Lots of clean, golden sand and big horizons. Take it easy, take a dip, or get adventurous and try a few water sports - it's your holiday, make the most of it.
The irresistible allure of the beach is just one of the reasons people choose the Gala Placidia Hotel. It's perfectly placed for getting out and about in Benidorm too. Whether you get out by day for shopping and sightseeing, or by night for sangria and partying, the Gala Placidia is never far away. And there's always a warm welcome waiting for you.
There's certainly plenty there to help make the Gala Placidia feel like home for a week or two. Of course a comfortable room can help anywhere feel like home, and the Gala Placidia's rooms are comfy and cosy. They come equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone, bath and shower as well as a strong box. All rooms have a balcony or terrace - somewhere else to relax and take in the sun and the sangria.
One of the other nice things about the Gala Placidia Hotel is its evening entertainment programme. It helps bring guests together and gives this hotel its close-knit, welcoming feel.
Another great place for guests to get together is around the main pool - whether you want to stretch out in the sun, swim a few laps or take a siesta. There's a children's pool too, and even a cot service (at a fee), so families are definitely welcome at the Gala Placidia.
Add to all of that a great buffet service and restaurant, TV room and you've got a hotel that ticks all the boxes.
With its great location, friendly ambience and abundant facilities, the Gala Placidia is always going to be one of this region's most popular tourist hotels.
Conveniently located only 600 metres from Levante beach this charming hotel offers a friendly atmosphere and outstanding value for money. The city centre's shops and amenities are just a stone's throw away, making the Gala Placida the ideal base to enjoy and explore everything Benidorm has to offer. Please note that this hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill.
I’ve stayed here 3 times, each time was August, the rooms are dated but are cleaned everyday I really enjoyed the food as there was plenty to choose from like Sunday roast, poolside bbq on a Friday, Mexican night, oriental etc, entertainment was ok. They have a good variety of drinks at the bars so something for everyone, so to conclude in the month of August Benidorm is full of family’s and spanish/Portuguese on holidays so not rowdy which I heard before I went, I’m not sure how the hotel or Benidorm is during school term but I would recommend this hotel during school holiday months as they cater for family’s with fun poolside or indoor activity’s
Reception staff were friendly enough. Male bar staff were only interested in eyeing up women. Especially my underage girls...
As for advertising no group / hen parties the hotel was full of groups meaning no sleep for two days when they returned to their rooms at all hours. Asked to move and had similar problems. Room walls so thin you can hear everything. Food basic but never went hungry. Hotel summed up by condoms in the vending machine next to the kids sweets. Would visit Benidorm again but definitely a different hotel.
Gala placdia is a great little hotel bin 12 ish time's had some brilliant time's and made some great friends rooms very clean food not to bad staff very friendly plenty to drink and the pool is fantastic only a short walk to strip 10/10
For 6 of the 7 nights here in October we loved it food was ace breakfast was the great lunch and dinner was just as good drinks on tap as we were all inclusive We’d brought our 11 year old granddaughter for the first time on holiday with us and she was loving it Now the really bad bit On our last day we were still in our room working out what to do I’d checked my wallet and saw I had €30 left so told our granddaughter she could go and spend it on a present for her mum and dad 5 yes 5 minutes later the maid knocked on the door to clean our room so we went and sat on the balcony so she could I left my wallet on the bedside table as she was cleaning I wondered why she closed the curtains to cover the view we had back into the room She never told us she had finished we just heard the door shut 5 minutes later I opened my wallet to give Emily the money and €20 was missing I reported this to reception who said to report it to the police Sorry €20 I’d be waisting their time and ours Watch out
After recent reviews we were very aprehensive about staying but on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. All the staff we came in contact with were pleasant, I find if you are polite to people the courtesy is often returned. We were there at Halloween and the hotel was decorated great and all the staff put in a brilliant effort with their costumes....some were a bit freaky scarey tbh!! The rooms are ok, yes they are dated and could do with a proper clean (on arrival there was chips, hair grips and sand on our floor!) but we had our beds made and fresh towels every day, the shower was perfectly fine also...
The walls are so thin it is unbelievable what you hear from your neighbours, also other guests. The food was mediocre at best and we ate out for lunch, saying that we always found something at the evening meal to tide us over till pizza o'clock. The location is 5 mins walk to the Indoor Market and 10 mins to the beach. Would I stay here again....? No I wouldn't. This is a budget hotel and it shows. My advice would be if you're reading the reviews and thinking about booking try and stretch the budget to stay elsewhere, if you've booked and just checking the reviews go with low expectations and like us you will be pleasantly surprised when you arrive. We stayed for 3 nights having a Benidorm Blast and that was more than enough at this hotel.
