No faults with the hotel.

We stayed here on the 10th July - 17th July, The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The lady on the front desk who’s name I believe is marimar, was very polite, chatty and helped us with any queries we had, a wonderful face to have on the front desk! The hotel room and dining area were both at a very high standard, immaculate. There was a great selection of food for all breakfast, lunch and dinner and the staff inside the restaurant were so accommodating and looked after us brilliantly...

There’s lots to do within the hotel, range of bars, a clean and well looked after pool and Fantastic staff all around.

I would definitely return to the marina, hopefully yearly!

I'd recommend to anyone!

Review by Joshwilde94 Halifax, United Kingdom

I really couldn't fault this hotel! From the location, facilities and amazing staff the Marina had everthing we needed. The hotel room and dining room was immaculate. With a wide selection of food there was something for everyone across Breakfast, lunch and Dinner...

I can't thank the wonderful and hard working staff enough! Nothing was ever too much trouble. You're all an absolute credit to the hotel. With multiple bars to choose from at the hotel, there was always plenty of entertainment and great drink choices.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and we can't wait to return.

Summer break

Just back from a 10 night stay in the Hotel Marina, this hotel has a lot of pluses and only one negative , the rooms are spacious for couples with the balconies overlooking the pool .

The rooms and the rest of the hotel are spotlessly clean thanks to the hard work of the cleaning ladies .

There is several poolside bars selling snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

There is entertainment on every night in the white star bar, some of which were really good.

The hotel is really central for all nightlife with the beach just a few minutes walk away.

The only negative side to this is that it allows non residents in to use its pool area which they reserve beds before residents can get them, this should be the other way around , an idea would be residents having to show their room pass to get priority from non residents, it did actually cause quite an issue and a lot of people who were staying there were quite annoyed...

Dont let the bed situation put you off though as the pluses certainly outweigh the minuses.

Lovely, Central and nice atmosphere

Review by Debbie F Kirkby-in-Ashfield, United Kingdom

We arrived on 30th July, having emailed them to upgrade our room which they had done. Reception staff are really nice and friendly. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis, so I will try and cover our own experience as best I can.

The rooms, we upgraded for a very small charge to a superior room...

The room was very clean but the beds twins, so not ideal for us a married couple, but having holidayed in Benidorm many times we know this is not unique and we think ahead and tiewrap those beds together, and ideally in the Marina the beds were moveable. Bathroom nice and large with a good shower and the water was always a good temperature. Air con works very well. A tip for the hotel though, on our arrival the fridge was not cold, but you had it in a cupboard with no holes in so the fridge was overheating, we propped the door open and it worked lovely.

Lovely balcony, small, we are not smokers but you can smoke on balcony if you choose to. One downside your keys for the room are very sensitive and will stop working if you put them near your phone, we had ours reset by a very good humoured manager several times. Also wifi not great, we found on balcony worked better using Secret Fountain wifi.

Cannot comment on TV as we never switched it on as we were out and about.

Breakfast was lovely, you can get British bacon but you do have to get it cooked as you need it which was no real hassle. On the same cook to order section you can get omelettes and grilled cheese and ham toasties.

The fried eggs at breakfast we dependent on the chef I suspect, some days they were lovely and replenished often some days they were hard and not fab, a suggestion from me would be on the station with the bacon, cook the eggs fresh to order as well this would sort it. Coffee is pods but very delicious and a selection of juices both from a machine and fresh is provided.

The meats and cheeses were ok but my hubby the foodie would prefer a greater choice of cheese as both cheeses were cheddar and a bit bland. There is however plenty to eat and the staff in the restaurant are attentive and friendly.

This did not affect us really as we prefer the beach, but was kind of ridiculous people queueing and then running for a sunbed we went to beach every morning after breakfast and the earliest we saw people queue was 09:15 and the pool is not even open until 10, obviously this is not the hotels fault, but the ones who just put towels down then leave it hours, thats just selfish to others and perhaps then this situation would not occur. We came back from beach and always found somewhere to sit and chat to nice people. Be aware that the pool is open to public and while we were there there was two handbags taken from sunbed area.

Overall I would definitely stay here again, but yes its right in the centre, and is noisy and lots of people coming home different times, we expected this and in fact often rolled in in the morning, if this is not your thing either take earplugs or find a different hotel.

Those who love a place with a great vibe and lovely staff and nice breakfast...then come here.
