20 of us went to this hotel for a winter break on Thursday 6th February. On the Saturday 2 elderly ladies in our party found they could not unlock their door .They reported it to reception and the fault was repaired quite quickly .The fault was due to wear and tear NOT to .misuse. Later hat day they had to return their key to reception due to the death of one of their sons and they had to return home. They requested their £100 deposit back but were told he would return it to one of the rest of the party when we checked out on the Tuesday. When we requested it back on the Tuesday A very rude and forthright receptionist refused to return it and would NOT listen to anything that we said.We had used this hotel for the third year running without problems but will never return again.I may add that in the 5 days we were there the room was never cleaned ,bins never emptied and the towels were only changed once.
First the good bits, the hotel is good value, in a good position and the rooms were great. Unlike other reviewers we found the reception staff very helpful. Especially the lady on duty overnight on the 15th January...
Our flight was moved from Alicante to Murcia due to a fire at Alicante airport. The receptionist contacted the transfer company, our airline and also booked a taxi for us. Excellent service.
The bad bit was the food as other reviewers have commented on. On one morning our cooked breakfast was totally cold (including a fried egg). There was plenty choice for the evening meal, but most of it was bland.
I think part of the food problem is that the evening meal starts at 8pm. Because it is so late, there is always a big rush as soon as the doors open, the staff find it hard to cope with the rush and the food suffers.
I would suggest if you want a good value hotel in this area to book the Primavera but to eat out. There are loads of good inexpensive bars and restaurants in the area.
Superior rooms are great fun pool for kids and deeper one for a swim, good pool bar and 5mins walk to the old town. The restaurant food is generally spanish and is very good and the staff are excellent, making it all a great stay
