Its contemporary design makes it a popular choice for guests and offers and excellent level of customer service to ensure each holiday maker enjoys their stay in Benidorm. Had a lovely holiday pay the RH Royal in Benidorm, just back after 10 nights with my husband and brother and sister in law. The hotels location is brilliant very close to the old town but not too far to walk to the new town to see all the tribute acts. Love that the hotel is adult only...
The rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Also loved that it was carpeted so it was very quiet. There was a free safety deposit box and also a kettle with coffee and tea. Staff very friendly and obliging. We would definitely go back there. We have also stayed in RH Princesa.
We have been going to this hotel for just over ten years and have found that (over the last year) it has really gone downhill...
Our last visit (7th Feb 2020) was one of the worst we have ever experienced at The Royal.
As a so called "valued guest" - we have a RH Members Card - we have always (beforehand) requested a high floor, corner room, if possible.
On our arrival we were given a random room. The safe did not work (we had to report it) The shower did not work properly. (we had to report that as well) The air conditioning could not be lowered (we reported that as well) This was BEFORE we even spent one night in the room!
Enquired at reception and was told by a very rude and arrogant 'receptionist' that "the hotel is full and we cant move you to another room"...so have to put up with it.
Asked for an iron and was sent an iron that BLEW ALL THE ELECTRICS as soon as we plugged it in - we had to leave the room for them to "fix" it.
We were told by staff, that we have known for years that all the problems have started since the "RH Staff came in".....
Visiting Benidorm three or four times a year and staying at the same hotel eachtime means 'nothing' to RH staff.
We have decided to no longer stay at The Royal Hotel and staff members told us to try next door (The Agua Azul) as "that's what most regular guests are doing now!".
Shame as it "used to be" a really good hotel and excellent staff.
we had a wonderful holiday, staying from 14th to 21st Feb. Rooms were spotless and yes a little bit noisy but didn't stop us sleeping. Food was amazing with a varied choice every day...
You won't go hungry here. The entertainment was a bit old for us, with exception to the flamingo night where I was able to let my hair down and dance the night away. Would probably not stay again due to the older age range of guests but may be in 20 years time. Thank you for a lovely and relaxing stay.
All the Staff were excellent. Room was excellent. Food could be a bit more varied but there will be something to meet your needs. Shame about the guests - most were rude and ignorant. I suppose that is old people for you.
This was my second stay in this hotel, joining my parents for a break together in Spain as I live abroad. The location is perfect, close to the beaches and the Old Town but quiet enough not to be disturbed by nighttime revellers. The hotel is superb value for money...
Spotlessly clean, functional rooms, with good facilities, including free safe. A superb restaurant with one of the best English Breakfasts to be found outside UK! Show cooking at lunch and dinner with great variety. Reasonably priced drinks if you are not on all-inclusive. The best asset has to be the very friendly and competent staff, especially in the Restaurant. Rosa and team really make you feel at home and the service is really excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to the next trip!
