The standard and quality of food was poor and not up to previous Melia hotels. The bar and lounge were closed whilst other 4 star hotels were open. Not pessary even with Covid restrictions to fail to provide and area for relaxation indoors when there was a prolonged period of heavy rain.
The hotel Location is great, right on the beach and has a car park. Hotel is pretty dated and could do with a considerable upgrade. We asked for sea view and although hotel empty we didn’t get one, we asked for non smoking room and got a smoking room which smelled...
Even the ask tray had waste in it. The bathroom wasn’t clean and the room was very dusty, clearly not been cleaned for some time. The curtain in the room does not block light so hope you like an early start to the. Day. Staff are kind and friendly, breakfast was ok.
This was a hotel we'd always fancied trying, but was a little unsure if I'd like the pool area being so close to the promenade, so when we were moved here for the last 4 nights of our holiday, due to the Melia Benidorm, where we had been staying, sadly having to close, we were very happy with the move. We found the hotel to be very clean, comfortable and with excellent Covid safety procedures in place. A much smaller hotel than either Sol Pelicanos/Ocas, where we usually stay, or the Melia, it had a much more intimate, friendly feel to it, especially at meal times, with a smaller restaurant, which had amazing sea views. The breakfast and lunch food selection and quality were really good (we did not have an evening meal there as the times were far too late for us) The general decor in the hotel was either a bit tired looking, or had been deliberately themed in the 1970's style, not sure which! We were allocated a side sea view room, which was very nice, but a little small, compared to the room we had had at the Melia, although the bathroom was far superior, with a huge walk in shower. I asked at reception if I could have a kettle for the room, which the Melia had been happy to provide, free of charge, but was told no, they didn't have any kettles. I said I would have to go and buy one then as I need my coffee! However, a few minutes later, when we were actually in the pool, the man I had asked came out and said they would provide one, and it would be in our room by the afternoon, which it was, complete with cups, spoons, tea bags and bottled water! I was very impressed! The pool was actually bigger than it looks from the promenade and I didn't feel overlooked or on display at all, which had been my initial reservation about this hotel...
It was also much warmer than pools usually are in October! Probably because it was smaller and in the full sun all day! Would we actually choose to book this hotel again - I'm not sure, to be honest as the location was closer to the old town than we usually stay, so a long walk back to the Rincon area. Also, it is considerably more expensive than our usual hotels, but also has a much more "grown up" and relaxed feel to it. The dining experience was certainly more pleasant than any other hotel in Benidorm we've stayed at, so on balance, I wouldn't rule out staying here again, if the price was right. We actually loved it and would highly recommend for anyone looking for an adult only hotel, in this location.
The hotel has lost it,s luster long time ago, despite of the upgrade of the exteriour of the building which look nice and clean, the interiour is like back to the 80’s. It’s undistructable , will last for ever. Pricewise the hotel is cheap...
The surrounding area needs renovation desporately.
Currently stayin here not a 4 star I would say 2/5 3 and am not fussy, better hotels in Benidorm , dynastic 4 stars better than this , do a lot off travelling 5 star hotels so no what an honest review is
