The Sol Pelícanos-Ocas resort is located in Benidorm, in Rincón de Loix, and only 300 m from the beautiful Levante Beach and at 2km from the center. Formed by the “Pelícanos” and “Ocas” buildings, this spectacular resort is ideal for family vacations all year round and for discovering one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterranean thanks to its privileged climate, beaches and great nightlife. Cribs are free upon request.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location was marvellous easy to walk too the nightlife. The atmosphere was great. People were friendly. The rooms were big enough with plenty of storage. The shower was fantastic. The price for the room with half board was responsible. If you are on a budget then this is the hotel for you. The rooms were kept clean and tidy. The noise level wasn't too bad, as I could leave my balcony door open all night. The reception staff were very helpful and very patient. The pool is absolutely fantastic. It is huge, loved it. There is 2 snooker tables and a pint pong table, so you won't get bored. The food is not too bad. I'm a fussy eater and love spicy food, alas they have to cater for everyone. They had fresh chicken, fresh beef and fresh pork cooking while you wait on separate occasions. The food is varied with plenty of salad, chips and pasta. There is something for everyone. Breakfast was good, although I only had it once as I'm a cereal eater. There was plenty of cold meats and fresh fruit available. I would say be careful as the chopped melons can sometimes need replacing as I think it had been mixed with older melon and it tasted it had gone off and very slimy when you eat it. The cake selection were nice and plentyiful. I didn't sleep well, but that was because the pillows were hard and I like a soft pillow.
Must admit after reading some reviews I was a little worried. Had the best time. Rooms were spotless, food was great the pool was amazing. The entertainment team fab as well. Definatly would come again. Also went to the waterfalks if you get a chance it is stunning although no good if you have walking difficulties and make sure you take water shoes x
Room was big enough, sheets changed daily, but 2 single beds only one changed. Food diabolical 😡 that bad i wouldn't even put it down to my dog. On that basis i won't be back. Usually go to Calypso but they were booked out
This is for anybody on this group who may have a disability. We have just stayed for 10 days in the Hotel Palicanos/ocas and we wouldn't stay here again if it's given to us for free. Here is the following reasons why.
4.The staff are very rude. 5. The pools are not disabled friendly either so I couldn't go swimming. 6. The food was absolutely disgusting to the point where we eat out every night.
We decided to go across to the hotel Palicanos pool which is also not disabled friendly. My mate got me on a sun lounger and forgot something so had to nip back to the Ocas hotel. When he got back to Palicanos some jumped up member of staff wouldn't let him back in because he had forgotten his band. So he was prepared to leave me sitting there on my own without any help to get up all for the sake of a band. So my mate said a few choice words to him and pushed passed him to come and get me. The member of staff followed him to where I was and when my mate said I'm reporting you to your boss. He said me speak no English but he spoke good English when he told my mate he couldn't come back in. We did report this to the hotel staff in the Ocas and they said they would pass it on. On the plus side other than the hotels we had a brilliant 10 days stay in Benidorm and we are back again in June of next year. However we will never stay in Palicanos or Ocas again.
Very clean hotel the cleaners do an excellent job . The hotel is close to beach and the main strip the pool is the best in any other hotel I’ve stayed at . Breakfast has a lot of choice we stayed in the Ocas and the room was clean and had everything you need . Check in quick and staff all seemed nice the bar staff were friendly all in all a good holiday
