A group of us 14 in total booked this hotel unfortunately when we arrived we had being split into to hotels. Staff were so helpful got us all moved onto same hotel thanks Jasmine we had a birthday whilst away yet again staff so helpful organised cake and massive table for us all. Staff were all polite friendly smily and nothing was a problem...
The range of drinks is very good including branded ie baileys and Gordon's gin just to name 2 . Food was fine plenty of choice sometimes not as hot as well usually have it but we just microwaved it . Rooms large separate bedroom to lounge english TV could not fault anything thanks to all the staff for looking after us 👍 😀 🙂
This hotel was clean from top to bottom ,
Food was plentiful and of variety every day , the six of us including two children loved the food and hotel ,
The staff made us feel so welcome, the receptionist the cleaners the waiters and waitresses, they where superb
The people in the restaurant cleaning and serving done everything to make our baby and 6 years old comfortable, we have travelled all over the world and been many times to the amazing Costa del sol but never been as happy as we where in our hotel in RIWO WORLD
The water park was mostly shut due to early season but there was so much to do we never cared , I’m already looking at returning to the hotel , the value was amazing , this is the first time I’ve barely spent money going to Spain ,
I left a few tips as I was so happy and I had difficulty getting the staff to accept them , but I’ll tell you what they more than deserved them , I hope they are all well paid
See you soon RIWO
So as stated in the title im putting a completely honest review.
First impressions were great - friendly staff on reception and throughout the hotel , quick check in.
The room was not adequate for the price charged if im honest...
My air conditioning was broken for the 1st 4 days of our holiday which was rather uncomfortable - I did ask reception for a fan but even after been told housekeeping would bring one to the room - it never arrived.
We were not told at check in the safe was chargeable at 3 euros per day so i spent a few hours thinking it was broken until I seen there was a key needed inside which was obtainable from reception at a charge ( based on the price of this hotel this should be included). The room was a bit dated and had wallpaper peeling off multiple walls also.
The food was okay however cut into a battered chicken piece for my severly autistic daughter ( after shed already ate 1 piece ) and it was that raw the chicken could still have been clucking - I did alert a member of staff about this but they never came back ( she did get a poorly stomach for a few days off this so cut into our holiday time !
The food was quite bland and the same dishes repeated so we ended up even though all inclusive having to eat out a few times to get a variety and to avoid undercooked food.
The restaraunt was so busy you could be queueing for 20 minutes plus and also kept waiting to get a table which isnt great when you had a normal verbal autistic 8 year old who is getting stressed. I strongly think thid hotel needs another restaurant and better chefs
Bars were great , no issues prompt and friendly.
Kids club was a great added extra , friendly staff and great service.
The spa was great however I think swimming caps should be optional or at the very least .... Free not chargable.
A bit out of the way - taxi required to get to a shop. And also as its up on a hill you get a lot of wind which can interfere with your afternoon sunbathing.
The entertainment was a little budget compared to other holidays - staff from kids club dancing to songs from a laptop controlled system and karaoke singers , the magician was good.
Overall - Its a nice enough hotel but ... food not up to scratch , needs a second restaurant to keep up with demand , rooms need a refresh , some services that are chargeable should be included and its overpriced for what it is - Id rate it 3 star not 4 and 3 would be pushing it.
Great hotel and value for money. We stayed with our 11 and 12 year old daughters and enjoyed the beach, the pool, the view of the Med from our balcony. Good breakfast and super staff...
A well deserved 3 nights of relaxation after a tour of Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
We booked through Jet2 so our trip included transfers to and from the airport which went very smoothly. (It's worth noting that the drop off point is at the hotel nearby but it's a very short walk up to the Riwo) This hotel really is lovely and definitely more ideal for families with children rather than couples looking for a quiet getaway. It's set up a hill away from the hussle and bustle but has everything you could possibly need on site including a well stocked shop...
Our room was a Junior suite which included a wee kitchen, bedroom with two double beds and a sofa bed which could accomodate two people/kids. We also had a lovely big balcony which caught the sun from afternoon to sunset. (We only had one evening of rain but it's worth noting the balcony is extremely slippery when wet.) The restaurant was fantastic. There was an abudance of excellent food on offer at every meal and we never struggled to keep our five year old happy at all. I particualrly enjoyed the wonderful salad bar and of course the breakfast pancakes/waffles with Nutella machine! The outdoor pool also has a lovely bar and snacks are served throughout the day in case you don't want to go back into the hotel to the restaurant. Really can't fault the lovely food on offer here as it included everything from burgers/chips etc to fresh fruit and salad. This hotel also had a fabulous indoor pool/spa which we booked into every day for one hour as we were all inclusive. You will need to pay a wee deposit for extra towels and you'll also need to buy a swim cap for a couple of euros which I thought was an excellent idea as they were made of a very soft, comfy cloth and must stop so much hair from clogging up the filters. The spa has a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and pool with fountains etc. We loved it there. There is also an extension to the hotel known as the beach club which can be reached easily by hoping on the wee minibus that comes every 15mins right outside the front of the hotel. When you get off the bus, it's a wee walk over a bridge to the beach club where there are further outdoor pools and a splashpark to enjoy. We only went a couple of times as there wasn't much benefit to staying poolside at the hotel but I think it would be better at the height of summer. It's also worth noting that it's very easy to use the local bus service to visit nearby Fengirola or Benalmadena, especially if you want a day at the beach. Finally, a special mention to the staff at the Riwo who are totally outstanding in every area from the reception to the housekeeping to the restaurants to the entertainment team. They all made this a really fantastic holiday for us.
