Not a four star experience

Positives; location was just what we wanted- 5 minutes from the beach, 20 minutes from the train station, bars and restaurants in every direction and food at the hotel was varied. Reception lovely and clean, entertainment varied and the drinks good. A nice touch to bring cake and champagne into the room for a special occasion. Negatives; firstly service- we were not informed of the gate that goes straight onto the front or given any map of the hotel. When we first arrived we were told to drop our luggage off without checking in. The beds were too big for the room, we had to turn side ways to get passed. One day there was dirt in the bath and stains on the sheets that were not changed. The shower room became very wet after every use from the lack of fan so wet puddles formed from the steam which on hard tiles can be dangerous. The dinning room is cramped and finding a seat can be hard. For my first four star experience I expected something a little more than what I have got in previous three star hotels and sometimes done better.

Good hotel in Spain

Travelled with Easyjet holidays (whose arrangements and transfers were spot on) Hotel about 20 mins or so from Malaga airport. Couldn't get into room until 2pm (understandable) and there was a room to store luggage Receptionist and indeed all staff very pleasant except older blonde woman on reception (a trifle dour) and 'animation' girl (who obviously undertakes childrens activities). She is not good at bingo-Rather frenetic We called the bar in the hotel 'the moon bar' It has no atmosphere! Nice pools and good gym plus sauna Our room on 2nd floor overlooking gardens fine. First word of warning-Don't leave patio doors open as gardens have a fair few water features and we were inundated with mosquitoes for a few days (Ouch) Instructions for Air con could be clearer as you need to use remote and black switch by bed and keep patio door closed for it to work (but then very efficient) Breakfast and dinner fine-Good choice. The lad who stir fried every night (who reminds me of Paddy from Top Gear) does a good job. The don't serve wine by the glass but the house red (Rioja) was drinkable and if you ask they will attach a small label and they will 'put it back' so you can drink it over 2/3 nights. You pay when you leave he restaurant. There is a gate at the bottom of the garden (press button to leave and use card to re-enter) which takes you onto street below. Marina and seafront 10 mins walk downhill. Regular buses pass to Mijas (40 mins) Fuengirola (20 mins-big market on Tuesday) and Torremolinos or Malaga (about 45 mins) Buy tickets on bus if there us no ticket office but if there is (as at Fuengirola) you need to buy ticket in office. Most tickets 0nly 1.7 Euro. Travel card may be cheaper. Recommend the following places-El Mojito bar in La Cariheula (always good entertainment) Eltons Rocket Bar in La Cariheula (for the shows) , The Launch on La Cariheula seafront for drinks and food. Trips out-Mijas, Fuengirola, Marbella, Malaga (Lovely-With a great visit to cathedral roof) La Cala de Mijas (Coast) All accessible by bus. Further afield there are loads. Would I stay at this hotel again-No but not because it's not good it's fine but I'd try somewhere else. All in all a good two weeks

Nice 3 weeks stay.

Good hotel. Silent room, comfortable beds. Delicious food, lots of choices. Nice garden. Every place very clean. Not enough wifi capacity. Coffeemachines too slow or there should be more of them. Friendly staff. Thanks!

Lovely hotel

The hotel is lovely, cleaning staff lovely. Front desk staff not so much, rarely a smile. I cannot fault the hotel apart from the food. This was probably more my problem than the hotels but it just wasn’t to my taste.
