It is not very often that I write a review with little or no criticisms . This is an excellent hotel rooms exceptional, roomy, cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels. Would recommend a sea view...
Staff very friendly and efficient. Restaurant rules re covid meant wearing disposable gloves and masks for selecting meals, these could be discarded once sitting at your table .Food was good ample choices both at breakfast and dinner. There were occasions when certain choices could have been a little warmer. Restaurant staff were very efficient, friendly. Now I do have to mention that on arrival there was was no porta ridge, I am disabled and struggling with heavy cases was not FUN! However on leaving matters were quite different and members of Staff were anxious to help with our cases. Would I go again most definitely.
Our 2nd visit to this hotel was frankly disappointing. Whilst the weather was fantastic and the hotel was spotlessly clean with good quality food, the holiday was marred by the constant noise within the hotel day and night.
The hotel construction with extremely thin walls and doors with no soft closers meant that peace was difficult to find and a good night's sleep almost impossible...
Coupled with the hotel's lack of policing of noisy latecomers leaves you needing to catch up on your sleep during the day...... if possible.
We also found drinks were very expensive even for hotel prices with a small, poor quality coffee costing 3.60 euros - roughly 3 times the cost of the local cafes.
With the hotel being located right at the end of the main promenade it's a long walk to the marina and even longer to torremelinos so whilst we will definitely be visiting this area again, sadly it will not be at the Las Arenas.
Must note that I am exempt in UK from wearing a mask due to a lung condition, but I adhered to the rules as its not my country..... I have been struggling, but enjoying my holiday too much to complain.
The room we had is a pool side view with a partial sea view and beds massive as well as comfy. Will definitely recommend to people to try this hotel
Have visited this hotel several times previously and always been impressed. Nothing changed on this visit, in fact the refurbishment has really improved the appearance. We had a superior room on the front of the hotel, actually the corner one on the fourth floor so views were magnificent...
It was very spacious, huge comfortable bed, tea/coffee facilities, good wi-fi and complimentary beer, spirits, soft drinks, water etc. in the fridge, the bottled water was replaced daily. It also had a large new shower room with bathrobes, toiletries etc. Cleanliness was excellent, very well maintained throughout our stay. In fact all areas of the hotel inside and out are spotless, the staff work so hard. .We enjoyed Happy Hour each day in the main bar, once again amazing service and so friendly. This was replicated in the dining room also, we were made to feel very welcome, don't think we've ever stayed anywhere with such a high level of customer attention. Food, which was buffet style, was still good but we did feel it was not quite the standard of previous visits, it seemed a little repetitive and several dishes we had were not as hot as we would have liked. Covid protocols were good and well maintained, masks for all staff and guests, lots of sanitisers and disposable gloves for use at the buffet. Entertainment consisted of various singers, some better than others but the best in our opinion was Ricky Lavazza who has appeared here for sometime. Overall though we would recommend this hotel and the Sky Bar on the roof is a great new addition, we look forward to returning in the future.
looking for a value for money 5 day break with some sun. Chose hotel Las Arenas just outside of Malaga what a fantastic choice it turned out to be.
In comparison to some of the major chain hotels, it was a small hotel but with the feel and service of a large one
The hotel was immaculately clean and staff kept it that way all day...
The rooms are large and well appointed our room had a balcony and a beach/sea view .
A complimentary mini bar in the room was provided with beer, spirits and soft drinks, also tea and coffee facilities in the room too.
The food in the hotel was exceptional in quality and choice.
All staff from the kitchen to cleaners to reception and bar staff are polite, helpful and efficient.
There is a roof top bar on the 7th floor that offers a panoramic view across the sea
All in all this was a fantastic hotel stay and not only would i recommend it i would very happily visit again. Great place in a great location
