This hotel was appalling, room location in a dark dingy corridor away from the main hotel, ground floor room backing on to the main A7 road very noisy night and day patio floor area covered in cigarette ends bare tree roots green netting surrounding the area (for privacy)dirty and torn . Shower cubicles covered in black mould. Restaurant food cold and inedible. No waiter service .Food on display not covered.
We were staying for four nights and were pleasantly surprised as to how modern the accommodation was and how spacious. The pool is first class and as breakfast was included we were amazed at the variety of food available. If you are eating a fry, it will be warm as in most Spanish hotels...
They offer an evening meal for €14 per head. We had one but id pass again as I like my food hot. I’d certainly stay there again with the excellent free secure parking at the rear.
Booked the Diana park as we were attending a wedding near Estepona, looked ok on the jet2 website and other family members were staying. The hotel is pretty with its central court yard of lime/orange trees, the staff are friendly in an unobtrusive way, plenty of sun beds, clean good size pool area. My biggest moan and THE main reason I would not return here is the noise from the road running parallel to the rooms, and im sure the hotel manager reads this in reviews time and time again!! There is extensive building work going on in the area and as several other reviewers have mentioned the noise is absolutely horrendous, im not talking afew speeding cars, this is huge cement mixers, lorries and trucks hitting speed bumps directly outside your rooms - its literally like a bomb going off when they hit! This continues from early morning, probably 7am,your woken by trucks in the distance changing down gears, then just flying over large speed bumps outside your window (we were in room 219 - AVOID!!!)...
On a positive once your out and about the beach is about a 10 min walk away, Estepona town is well worth a visit (15mins in a taxi, around €15 each way) there are small 'pockets' of afew bars, shops, pharmacy's etc dotted around the area near the hotel, but i would definitely suggest just heading into Estepona for a larger selection of bars and food - all in all lovely location, but the traffic noise is just too much.
A bit of advice if your planning your holiday at this hotel. DON’T it’s absolutely disgusting. The customer service is non existent....
the hotel has electric wires sticking out of sockets..the fire extinguishers are dead..this hotel is in the middle of a residential area and right beside it is a motorway. There is nothing to do or see in the area unless you go in to next town. Although it says it’s in Estepona.. it’s actually 12k away. It is surrounded with graffiti covered run down empty hotels and the so called beach is actually a man made dirt trap. The food is disgusting. Lunch leftovers are served in evening. The hot plate is always cold. They seem to think providing a microwave to re-heat your food is acceptable. We spent a lot of money on this all inclusive holiday and ended up eating elsewhere every evening. I went through Jet2 and was badly let down by them and after complaining we got fobbed off with a don’t care attitude. I was actually so upset on the first night I phoned Jet2 and they didn’t care at all. The rep was a notice board with details on it. Didn’t see rep till day 3 and she was worse than useless. 5 couples inc ourselves sat with her and explained... she wasn’t interested. I wouldn’t serve pigs the food they expected us to eat. It was the worst week ever and I would never go back there and I just want people to know beforehand what this hotel and Jet2 are like as I wish someone had told us. In the photo with the watermelon you can see the fridge wasn’t working as it’s full of dirty water and they were emptying it out with the jug you see floating. The food is what you get everyday and it’s the same no change. It’s congealed and disgusting
It was agreed with the holiday company and the hotel that due to early departure that continental breafast would be available before we left - Was told by the kitchen staff "we dont do food this early" Had to buy food and drink at the airport. Was not even allowed a drink.
