A hotel on the shores of the Mediterranean, located on the beachfront, ideally located just 25 minutes away from Malaga airport and 77.4 km from Gibraltar airport. In addition it is very well connected to all the main tourist attractions and leisure facilities, such as Costa Water Park. Most of our rooms have fantastic sea views and are completely refurbished. In the very heart of the Costa del Sol, the Occidental Fuengirola offers a unique experience in the perfect setting for enjoying your free time and a variety of activities. The location next to the seafront promenade, and city centre, provides easy access to shops, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. The hotel has three dining areas that provide different options throughout the day. There is also a heated swimming pool perfect for taking a dip at any time of the year.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Just returned from a six night break at this hotel with friends. The general standard of this hotel is excellent with lots of sunbeds by the pools and actually some very nice padded sunbeds too . The rooms were excellent with lovely sea views and air-conditioning worked perfectly. Beds extremely comfortable and lovely bathrooms. Spotlessly clean with friendly and helpful staff. We previously stayed at the Leonardo Hotel which had a fantastic breakfast and therefore we were extremely disappointed by the breakfast at this hotel. There were no hash browns, no real sausages (only mini frankfurters ) no fried bread. Many items including Spanish omelette/tortilla were kept under heat lamps and so were very crisp, cold and stale tasting. If you’re happy with the continental breakfast there are lots of pastries and also bread but quite honestly when you’re on holiday you probably want to treat yourself to a cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, despite everything else in the hotel being lovely, the breakfast has put all of us off returning to the hotel. Such a shame!
Nice hotel.but would not class it as a 4 star. Breakfast only okay evening meal leaves a lot to be desired this holiday wasn't cheap so expected better lot of people were saying the same.had a superior room nothing superior about it, can't hang long dresses in wardrobe
Excellent service and the staff are exceptional, the breakfast was very good with many choices, the room was very comfortable and clean.
Unfortunately we are not golfers and the hotel does not provide any respite areas away from the drunken men in the bar on a daily basis in September. We realise this is where the hotel derives most of the income in September and after four visits we have become immune and do not use the common areas at night ( or day). Having said that ( apart from the golfers) everything is excellent andI am sure the management would agree that it is sad that this hotel has to rely on this type of guest for its income as they are so welcoming. The only suggestion I would make is that they ban golfers taking their clubs to their rooms as non golfers cannot access lifts at peak times. When i checked out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, is this not basic customer service?
It’s a beautiful hotel with very kind staff. We’ve been here for 3 years in a row. Breakfast is very good and there is so much choise. We realy love the terras outside and we ate there several times in the evening. There you can have lunch ore dinner “a la carte” and they also have extra’s that are not on the menu. You just have to cross the street and you’re on the beach so the location is also perfect. The rooms are clean and they all have balconies. We are big fans.
