Ramada Hotels and Suites by Wyndham Costa del Sol

This was a strange experience - we expected a hotel, but found that Ramada Wyndham is actually an entire suburb, multiple buildings, roads, restaurants, apartments, etc. There is one central reception, hard to find, and a long way from most of the residences. Check in was slow - instead of a single central reception, smaller reception offices in the various buildings near the rooms would work far better. There are no shops or cafes nearby. We were given a small apartment, kitchen, lounge, small sleeping room, reasonably well equipped (fridge, all kitchen amenities, etc.), clean, but not really luxurious, more like 3* standard. The pool area was relatively small, crowded, insufficient sun beds, and full of screaming and unsupervised children everywhere, except in the children's pool... Frankly, this not really what one would expect in a relaxing holiday - more like a vision of hell, noisy, crowded, busy and tiresome. Overall, I would not want to spend a holiday here, but then Costa del Sol nowadays is so busy, crowded and overdeveloped that it should be avoided - and Ramada Wyndham is a good example of this.

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Resort (CLC world) San Diego Suites. The facilities were very comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were very helpful and very efficient. This is 4th time we been here in just as many years. Every time I find the service and facilities that much better.

Really enjoyable stay here. It’s enormous but very easy to get around. We’d hired a car do it made it much easier for us. Once checked in a porter took us in a car to our apartment. No issues checking in. Very comfortable apartment. Plenty of facilities on site.
