Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My husband and I stayed for 1 week at Amare beach hotel in Marbella in March/April 2026, and we were completely impressed with everything the hotel offered. The rooms were modern and clean, we had a partial sea view which included the shoreline which we found more interesting than a full on sea view. Hotel facilities were excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was first-rate which included all of the usual offerings and a machine that made freshly squeezed orange juice. The beach club was outstanding, and the food and drinks served there were of a very high standard. The pool area was also outstanding with a chilled out atmosphere and music in the background. The location was ideal for us with the old town just a few minutes walk from the hotel, and very good bars and restaurants a few minutes walk along the beach front. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed with my friend for 3 days on a girls break. I don’t think that the online photos really reflect just how small the rooms are, and how compact the pool area is. You cannot leave your sunbed for more than 30 minutes as your belongs will be removed. It is clear that there are not enough sun beds to go around. I found the overall vibe in the hotel a bit strange - lots of strange pictures all over the lift doors , which made the place look like a kids crèche. The drinks around the pool were expensive, not quite up to standard. The cocktails were too sweet. The beach restaurant was very nice food, but again , the tables are too close together in a tiny space. I don’t understand some of the reviews saying how wonderful the breakfast is? All of the hot offerings were cold, including the hard boiled eggs which I expected to be hot given they were at the hot counter. I did find all of the staff to be very pleasant and happy to help though.
First time visit to Marbella and after a lot of research decided on this hotel due to its good past reviews. Location is brilliant literally over the road to the famous old town which we visited a few times ( day & night ) private beach is great with no sunbed issues whenever we went, we were on the beach by 9.30 most mornings and managed to get a front row for the day. The pool was quite busy all day, but were more beach than pool so did’nt bother us. Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh choice, you are not going to go hungry here let me tell you.
We had lunch & dinner at the beach restaurant both really nice. The staff are all very helpful and friendly if you need them at all. The bed was perfect so comfy snd huge ( which i had the exact bed at home) Room is a good size , if we could have one negative about the hotel it would just be the lack of storage space/draws in the room. There is only a double wardrobe with 2 draws internally, 1 draw either side of the bed & thats it. As a couple i think a bit more storage as you do tend to take a lot of bits and bobs on holiday and we ended up using the top of our suitcases as a kind of worktop.
Small negative but thats just our opinion and wouldn't stop us staying here again.
We had a great time at the Amare hotel. They are the only hotel on a smaller beach, so you have a near private beach for the hotel. There was always room at the beach chairs and they have food and drinks service to the chair. It is near the old Marbella town and near the boardwalk, so it is walk distance to many good restaurants. The breakfast which was included was great and had a lot of options. The bed had a hair in it when we arrived, but we let them know and did not have another issue after that. There is a parking garage available where you can park yourself but it is not very spacious and there are a lot of tight turns.
This is our second stay at this beautiful Hotel.
Location is fab, a few minutes walk to old town Marbella which is full of restaurants, bars and shopping. The hotel is situated along the Promenade opposite the beach.
We had lunch every day in the restaurant just at the pool, good value and great menu, We also had dinner one evening in their beach front restaurant again service and food excellent.
The pool has a no reservation of sun bed policy and from 9am you can obtain your towel. This is what we loved about The Amare.
This year however we noticed alot of residents had taken towels back to their rooms and were down prior to 9am reserving their sun beds. Staff did not approach or stop anyone from doing this which is disappointing for others abiding by the rules.
You can obtain a plaque from staff at lunch / dinner times to put on your bed to say you will be returning, great idea. We were asked by a female member of staff who wasn’t the friendliest one of the days when obtaining a plaque if we were eating lunch in the hotel as you couldn’t keep your bed if you weren’t?? This only ever happened to us once.
Reception are helpful and friendly and the hotel and rooms and spotless. Infact the entire hotel was super clean.
There is an event board that showed days when there is entertainment around the pool, either a singer, violinist etc. Snack shop located beside Reception as well is you run out of anything.
We will return again the The Amare.
