This superb golf and conference hotel enjoys an exclusive setting in the town of Guadalmina in the heart of the stunning Costa del Sol. The airport is about 40 minutes’ away by car. The hotel is located in close proximity to spectacular beaches and a wide range of entertainment and shopping venues in Puerto Banus. The hotel is set amidst luxuriant natural surroundings which it complements with elegance and style. The complex offers venues to host business meetings and other private events. To relax and rest, visitors can enjoy the outdoor pool area sunbathing or having a refreshing drink. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed, offering luxurious, comfortable atmosphere in which to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
We stayed at the hotel 3 nights as a group of 4 for a golf trip and cannot recommend this place enough. From booking the hotel and all the way through our stay - the staff were super helpful and went out of their way to help me reserve tee times at local courses nearby without issue and resolve any queries we had during our time there. We had the exectutive rooms which were fantastic, spacious and comfy and very well kept during our stay. Breakfast was great with lots of food variety and drinks options. The pool area was great and if you book higher spec room, you get access to an adults only pool which is also great. For any golfers looking for a place to base themselves for all the awesome courses in the area - this place is a must as it sits pretty central and very close to Atalaya, Guadalmina, Los Naranjos to name a few. Will definitely be visiting for another trip soon!
From the very moment we walked through the doors of Barceló Marbella, something told us this stay would be different. But nothing could have prepared us for the warmth waiting for us behind the reception desk.
Justine. Remember that name.
After a rather tiring drive from Málaga, we arrived with our suitcases and that little knot of worry in our stomachs – will everything be alright? Justine looked up with a genuine smile, greeted us warmly, and immediately made us feel at ease.
She didn't just hand us a key: she asked if the journey had been smooth, recommended a lovely little spot for dinner near San Pedro Alcántara, and traced on a map exactly where Puerto Banús was for our evening out the next day. She even slipped in a heartfelt, "If you need anything at all, I'm right here – please don't hesitate." The kind of sincerity you simply can't fake.
We felt expected, not just checked in.
What moved us the most was feeling just how deeply Justine loves what she does. Every word, every gesture breathes passion and pride in representing this hotel. There is nothing mechanical about her, nothing rehearsed. You sense a genuine eagerness, a natural enthusiasm that lights up every single exchange.
I completely understand why the HR team chose her to welcome travellers: she brings that profoundly human, warm dimension that transforms a beautiful property into a true place to live. Thanks to her, the walls become a home, and the hallways, a smile.
The room? Spacious, bathed in light, impeccably clean. The balcony overlooks the golf greens, and that golden September light flooding the room at dusk… a living painting. The bedding is sumptuous, the air conditioning whisper-quiet, and every morning the sheets are pulled perfectly taut. You breathe.
Breakfast deserves a mention all its own: freshly sliced fruit, pastries still warm from the oven, eggs cooked right before your eyes, freshly squeezed juices… a quiet feast before heading to the pool – vast, sparkling, lined with sun loungers where the only sounds are birdsong and the gentle lapping of water.
In the evening, the atmosphere is peaceful, almost hushed. You wander through the gardens, sip a glass at the Santa María bar, and the soft Andalusian air does the rest.
We leave with light hearts and one absolute certainty: we are coming back. And the first person we hope to see when we push through those doors again is Justine.

Love this hotel!!! I came last year for my 40th and loved it so much i came again just for a long weekend away! Wonderful clean rooms, cleaners very welcoming and friendly! Reception was helpful and kind. We got a wonderful twin room very spacious and cool with AC. The design and grounds of this hotel is amazing.! Lifeguards at the pool is friendly and welcoming! The pool is very big and clean. Outstanding golf course scenery too. And the food options for breakfast was great! I will definitely come back again and again! The hotel is short uber drives away to towns etc! 45mins drive from malaga airport. Just be careful using bolt or ubers some drivers weren't very nice or friendly.
This is our 3rd stay at Barcelo Marbella and we really love it here! The service is always fantastic and the staff are always really attentive, a special shoutout to Maria and Diego at the santa-maria bar, such lovely people and even remembered my drinks order! Rooms are clean, drinks are really well priced and the hotel is in an ideal location to get to Puerto banus but still be nice and quiet when you want it.
We cant wait to return for our 4th visit!
stayed here several times never been disappointed. Service excellent and rooms are a good size. Breakfast has a good selection and good times.
