lovely hotel and staff. in a residential area but short walk to beach promenade. long promenade...
20 min walk to marbella centre. beautiful bar and resturant, a la carte food. large apartments, with kitchen, dining area and lounge. seperate large bedroom and very well equipped bathroom with many toiletries.
Situated just outside Marbella central not far from the beach(5 minutes)Lovely comfortable apartments Easy access to bus service to get you to other areas of the Costa, plus 3 good supermarkets very close by.Hotel also has its own restaurant.
Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms cleaned and bed linen changed daily! Spacious and well equipped, friendly staff, great location handy for local bus and very close to beach/promenade, so whats not to like? Corner rooms can be noisy from traffic (we were moved without fuss), although a previous review mentions a sea view I have my doubts. We asked for a sea view room and were assured they do not have any and the layout of the hotel (after our two weeks holiday) would indicate that if you had a top floor apartment and stood on your partners shoulders, you may see a ribbon of water! Breakfast choice was excellent, but the hot selection was always only luke warm at best, and whilst did complain about that, nothing changed. Just down the road is a supermarket with an escalator that will take you down directly to the promenade. Total lack of information provided by the hotel, bus stops, places of interest, etc, which seems strange but in fairness lots of leaflets from local tour operators in reception...
Would we return? I'm afraid the lack of a sea view was the killer for us, if you can live without that, I'm sure you will enjoy the hotel and area.
We stayed here for 1 weeks at the end of October. These are fantastic apartments!spacious and cleaned daily.yes some of the furniture was a bit dated but nothing of any great concern.couldnt fault the reception staff either.only thing that was a slight problem was no buggy access to the pool.there are steps down to the pool so we had to carry the buggy down.brilliant location with the beach not far and supermarkets in handy areas!will definitely return here!
Just return from a great week in Marbella, made all the better by staying in the Sultan Hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, we had a room on the 6th floor with great views including the sea and the mountains.
The apartment was absolutely brilliant, for more than we expected for what we paid, it had separate kitchen, dining/lounge area, bedroom and bathroom, the rooms were cleaned daily, beds made for us and towels changed every day.
Air conditioning that was cool in the day and kept the rooms lovely and warm in the evenings, needed for November, was great!
In the bathroom there was even a basket with a razor, comb, shoe shine, shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste (see pic) don’t even get that in some hotels at home that cost a lot more money.
The balcony was big, with table chairs and sun loungers, again very clean.
The hotel and grounds are clean and well kept and would definitely go back again.
