Very disappointed - not a 4* hotel

Review by debse2016 County Durham, United Kingdom

We stayed at this hotel for 7 night period over New Year period. The hotel has its good points - small complex, spacious rooms and very clean & lovely staff however we really haven't enjoyed our time here.

The restaurant was closed due to COVID, which left 1 place to eat...

The standard of the food and drinks were extremely poor and lacking in variety. The selection of fruit is poor, if you fancy an omelette - you have a choice of only ham and cheese. At times the food was cold and lacking taste. Water is available from the pool bar from a water machine, bottled water isn't available. Considering we paid for all inclusive we certainly have not received value for the money we paid. We are very disappointed.

The hotel opened the restaurant on New Years Eve, the standard of food was much better however the following night we were back to a very poor standard . We have eaten out which has added unnecessary additional costs.

Lots of unhappy guests at this hotel.

Labranda Christmas 2021

Review by RJP1011 Port Talbot, United Kingdom

Lovely hotel. Fantastic location. Rooms really spacious with big 3 seater sofa...

TV and kettle (but had to provide own coffee etc. ). Room clean - rooms only made up 3 times weekly due to Covid but this was fine. Staff in restaurant were lovely. Food plentiful but quite repetitive (especially for me as a vegan). However plenty of choice of salads plus soya milk at breakfast. Pool area good with nice bar but especially great was the relaxation quiet pool. No activities and peaceful- great idea. We didn’t use the main bar but were told by other (all inclusive) guests that it was good. However, so many other great bars within a few minutes walk and it’s nice ho support other small businesses during these difficult times. We would definitely stay again.

Our Christmas cracker

Review by Wilsons-travels Wrexham, United Kingdom

Just spent 10 days at this fabulous hotel. The hotel complex is low rise, airy and spacious, especially the apartment rooms. We had a pool view room overlooking the quiet pool....

it was a beautiful view with the pool, and also the volcano in the distance. We stayed All inclusive and we found the food to be plentiful in choice, fresh and delicious. The salad bar is always full of fresh produce, and the hot selection usually had a choice of different meat and fish every day.

The Christmas Day meal was exceptional... Overwhelmed by the choice and quality of everything that was beautifully presented.

The hotel is spotlessly clean in every area. .. and now to the staff... Everyone was warm, friendly and welcoming, from the reception, maids, bar staff and the restaurant staff serving and clearing tables. They all work so hard, but always with a smile. .. but a special mention has to go to Melissa and George who run the Animation and entertainment.... Both so warm, friendly and genuinely interested in their guests enjoyment of the holiday. The Michael Jackson show is amazing.

A special call out also to Ali in the Faros Bar for being warm, friendly and funny..

Can I also thank George, Melissa and Ali who helped me when I sprained my ankle on the last night of our holiday.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The local shopping starts within a 2 minute walk with quality, designer shops and brands that you won't find in the UK.. all at very competitive prices.

The closest beach is a ten minute walk and it is lovely with bars and restaurants all around. If you want to get to the best beach then you can take the number 6 bus from the cross roads around the corner from the hotel. 1.40 euros each way to get to the most stunning beach, with miles of soft golden sand and turquoise, clear blue sea.

A walk to Corralejo old town is also a must.. 20 mins to reach a fine selection of bars and restaurants in an area with loads of character and live music.

We also walked to the volcano area one afternoon, feeding nuts to the local chipmunks who live there.it takes around 1 hour on foot to get to the main area on very good road surfaces but good footwear is needed due to the gravel and dust. A gentle incline all the way but stunning views at the top

All in all, a fantastic holiday that is highly recommended.

Average

Review by Inga2022 Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Our stay was average for the following reasons: We selected this hotel because on the pictures it shows a magnificent gym but sadly the gym was closed during our stay. An alternative was offered in another hotel but it was a tiny gym and didn't have the equipment we were looking for (and which was advertised in the pictures). Our room was basic but spacious...

The sofa bed made a noise every time my son turned around and it was very uncomfortable. A good thing was that there was always hot water in the shower! The rooms are only cleaned every other day. I found the quality of the food to be poor but worse was the constant pointing out of wearing your face mask. The staff seemed more worried with that than anything else. Staff at the bar and at the reception were very friendly and helpful all the time.
