The rooms are like being in a hostel I never wanted to go back dark and depressing., no windows just patio doors. No air con. The garden areas are unkept covered in squashed berries and leaves...
The food is horrendous., always same no variety and not appetising. The location isn’t great nothing really to do. Wouldn’t recommend or come again. Sorry
It's a couple of years since we stayed there and it has changed hands since then but not for the better. They try to get most people on to All Inclusive but we always go self catering and like most european appts self catering is pretty poor so we eat out every night. We'd rather help the local economy and eat at different restaurants each evening but in every single appt we have been before there was at least the minimum requirement for self catering, a kettle and a toaster...
Just to be able to sit out of a morning and have a cup of coffee and a slice of toast. Spoke to reception and the kettle was quickly replaced but sadly no taoster, the appts don't have toasters anymore.......... but we can hire one for 26Euros a week. That didn't work out as they didn't hire them direct from the hotel, a local hire company hire them but they stopped doing them. The last time we stayed here they had toasters but not anymore so no toaster. Then there was the expense to hire the safe. It felt like we were bleeding money before we had even started the holiday We go to Fuerteventura 3 or 4 times a year, sadly we won't be going back to the Oasis Village.
Came with a friend in February.
Room was big, on the ground floor and perfectly suitable.
Pool area was nice with lots going on.
Danni and Kieron kept us entertained all week, with various afternoon activities always with a smile.
Beach not too far away, and there's a ferry for a day trip to Lanzarote.
Location was perfect, quiet, but only a few euros into the centre for a decent night out.
Had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back.
Checked in on the 11th March for a week for my birthday. Reception staff that checked us in was polite & helpful.
ROOM! Got to our room & was amazed at the size of the lounge, bathroom, bedroom & patio area. Never stayed in an hotel/apartment so huge! Comfortable beds, safe in the room, a kettle & a fridge. You get about 5 English channels on the tv...
Can’t think of a fault only a small gripe that the cleaners don’t come in every day to clean & don’t replenish tea, coffee & sugar. We ended up buying our own tea bags, but that didn’t matter to us as they was cheap enough.
FOOD! Food was plentiful & quite a lot of choices. Something for everyone’s taste! I haven’t got one complaint about food. The deserts are to die for & again, plenty of choice. Theme night every night which was lovely every night. Always fruit out for you. Cheese & cracker buffet was amazing!
Snack bar! The snack bar food was lovely & plentiful of hot dogs, burgers, pizza, salad, chips, bread rolls, choice of fruit & help yourself to the small pots of ice cream which was lovely. Food only warm, but hey, what all inclusive food is ever hot? Same if you even go to a 5*
Staff! Staff are friendly especially the animation team. They always engage in conversations with you & are very polite & helpful. They work hard to try to entertain day & night, not my cup of tea entertainment wise, but again they work hard so hats off to them. Bar staff friendly also.
The whole place is huge & was easy to find a sun bed. The pool at the top was lovely, cold, but lovely. Very clean & refreshing. The bottom pool is slightly heated & was lovely & clean also. Lots of tables & chairs for people to sit & have a drink.
10 minute walk to the town centre. Turn left out the hotel, walk up the toad & turn right. Flag beach is an absolute must if you love the beach, it’s beautiful. We walked there which took us about 45 minutes, but a slow walk we took. We got the bus back which only cost 2 euros 40 for both of us. Weren’t so keen on the beaches down from the town as it’s very rocky to get to the sea.
Unfortunately we was there at the time of lockdown over the corona virus. People had to be sent home early but obviously wasn’t the hotels fault. During the lockdown, staff was there to try to answer any questions the best way they could. We felt bad for animation team especially as they basically didn’t have a job left, but still advised us in anyway possible, again well done to them. We was still fed well with all this happening.
All in all apart from the lockdown into our 4th day of our holiday we had a lovely time, it’s a peaceful place that’s like heaven. We plan to go back when everything has blown over. We cannot fault this place at all. This hotel deserves a 4* not 3*
This is a fairly basic hotel situated on the edge of town to not too busy. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though not serviced daily. The Restaurant is the only dining option (apart from the poolside buffet bar) and, while the food was plentiful, it started to look like the same meal every time...
The basic all inclusive drinks were all local and though ice was readily available, I couldn't get a slice of lemon for my gin!
