Pools are good, no need to reserve sunloungers.
Food, mediocre. Mexican night was good. Breakfast ok, apart from that hit and miss. Soup wasnt available all the time which is a shame because it was good with the lovely bread rolls.
We had a fantastic holiday because of the people we met there. We had read the reviews about the entertainment being all French and hadnt worried about it. However it was an issue. The French entertainment staff actually do not want non French speakers to join in. They will not translate even though they speak usable english. We felt excluded.
Rooms 1102 - 1104 are very very hot, to the point that fans dont work. We kept the doors open all day with curtains closed but it didn't make much difference.
The hotel is closing down in the next few weeks, it wont be a loss tbh
We knew the hotel was closing down so our expectations where not high . But Despite the Hotel needing an update the staff food and services were ( for what we paid for our two week stay) in every way up to its star rating. One of the pools did have a algae problem for two days and some of the food was disappointing. However the staff overall were courteous and hard-working and we both felt welcomed. We new it was largely a Hotel catering for the French. The animation team didn’t communicate with us largely because they didn’t speak English so no surprise there We didn’t particularly want to communicate to the French so that didn’t bother us at all overall a really good holiday for the price that we paid it wasn’t a five star hotel .
As many have said 90% French guests, looked down their noses at, kids not allowed in the kids club because they were English & what sort of bar doesn't sell brandy? I thought brandy was french, they couldn't even serve up the national drink of 90% of the guests!!! Food was absolutely crap. We sat outside the main food hall for our breakfast but was asked to move as that section wasn't open yet. I asked what time it opened.....8am was the response, what time is it now i asked 7.56am was the response! Wot a moron! Shower flooded the entire disabled apartment i reported it to the recp. They sent a maid with a huge blanket which she folded 4 times and that was supposed to absorb the water. As everybody else complained about broken tiles & then the pool changed to a pea soup green. As we were AI we didnt budget for going out for breakfast every day then go out for dinner and a few drinks then tea time we would go out for our tea and stay out for some drinks & entertainment in the music Square. As i am disabled i needed a taxi to get me back up the hills. Another thing the french got welcome meetings, the English didnt even get to meet a rep!!!
This place is a stinking pile of crap the bar is shameful only has 3 cocktails that believe me has 0 alcohol and they only have vodka whiskey gin rum that's it oh and lager The entertainment well if your French your ol as its all in French they don't speak English so your left out to dry its like they only cater for the French no point putting kids in the club as they don't speak English to the kids only French the food is basic but I hardly ate anything this hotel is the worst hotel I've been in
Had our 7th holiday here and the location is great, accomodation is great, food is acceptable - and I'm the world's fussiest eater and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately hotel is closing down shortly and it seems that more British people were sent here than usual and this meant the yobs arrived. They thought is was funny to shout and chant obscenities during the day and it definitely wasn't funny at 1.00am in the morning Also, the French annoyed us this year as well as they have a habit of staying out until about 5.00 am chatting and because it was so hot at night we had to leave windows open so could hear it all. If it reopens we would go back, but not if it became an all British hotel !!!
