- Fuerteventura Holidays
- Costa Calma
- Club Hotel Drago Park

This modern hotel complex is situated in Costa Calma in the south of Fuerteventura. It is an ideal place for unforgettable family holidays as it features a pool, children's pool, playground, kid's club, entertainment for adults and children, restaurant, several bars as well as various sports facilities. The beautiful sandy beach can be reached within a short stroll, there is a shuttle bus to the beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Positives:
Negatives
My family of 4 (Including me) spent 6 full days at this hotel (arriving late at night on a Sunday and leaving around 6pm on a Sunday the next week). We planned to use this as a nice getaway for all of us and to top up on a tan.
I’ll start with all of the positives when I stayed here. First of all, the kitchen staff are always so polite and welcoming. The food had never failed to make my taste buds tingle and the staff always cleared tables properly.
Next, I’d like to give a big hand to the entertainment staff that have each day put a smile on my face one way or another by being so kind and enthusiastic. You can tell that they are very happy with their jobs and embrace it through how they present themselves on a day to day basis. They can speak a wide range of languages quite comfortably (For example: Spanish, Germany, English, French) and make guests feel welcome. I’d like to particularly give praise to Dorian who has always been such a joy to see, always interacting with guests and eager to have a laugh with everyone! He’s such a credit to the team and a very sweet individual.
Onto the pool service, we never had trouble getting sun-beds and always enjoyed our time in the pool. Plenty of space for families to spread out and have fun with each other whilst also not intruding other people’s space.
Noise level was very very minimal on a night, couldn’t hear a fly even with the balcony door open!
Room was kept very clean through our stay and when we arrived.
Very good for the value of what we got it for.
Now, I must talk about the negatives of staying here.
On our first day here, we noticed that our air conditioning wasn’t working whatsoever; it was hotter in the room than it was outside. As you can imagine, this did affect our sleep and experience in our room. We knew that this wasn’t how the air conditioning usually was as a member of our party was in a separate room and had to turn off their air conditioning because it was too cold. When speaking to reception about getting them to send someone out, they lied to us 3 times saying that they would send someone out (which they did not to our knowledge). They stated that the hotel was at “maximum capacity” and therefore the air conditioning would be weaker, and whilst I can not prove this narrative, the amount of free sun-beds told me a different story. We did complain to our travel company about this and another member of my party has been discussing this issue with them.
Then, when the pool bar was open there was often very limited food to choose from. Pizza would often be the first to go, with members of my party having to wait quite a while for another to come out. We thought that surely the staff would have served the correct amount to the demand from people.
At breakfast, one of the islands (that is near to the live cooking island and the island where you can get bread) often had cold food on it. For example, me and a member of my party had hash browns often and they were not warm at all and sometimes even cold.
Another thing is that the hotel describes that they provide “sports facilities” which includes a gym. This gym is barely functional, with one of the two treadmills not working, a broken leg press and limited free weights being one of the most you can do.
I have also seen someone else mention this, but I did have to constantly re-register into the wifi which was quite annoying.
Finally, they advertised in the reception area that they would be showing the England game on the 27th June. Instead, they did not and many of the people in the bar were throughly disappointed with me and my party just going upstairs to watch it on demand on our devices.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and I would not like to visit here again. Whilst it hasn’t been my worst hotel experience ever and does have good aspects, it hasn’t been an outstanding experience.
Here now there are about 15 teenagers in the kids play area screaming and shouting it’s extremely loud it’s 11 pm many young children in the complex where are the staff monitoring all this ??? Don’t come if you want a nights sleep and your young children need to sleep utter chaos
Checked out yesterday after staying in Room 110 in June 2026, and overall we had a lovely stay.
The food was great for the first few days, although, as you would expect with most all-inclusive holidays, it became a little repetitive towards the end. Food was lovely and even cooked fresh steak, pork, fish, pizzas, pancakes etc. couldn’t complain about it and by far the best food we’ve had at an all inclusive resort. Everything throughout the hotel was exceptionally clean, which is always one of my main priorities when staying at an all-inclusive resort.
The pool area was lovely, and there were designated smoking areas around the hotel. They also had Bali beds available to rent for €20, which included a bottle of sparkling wine. We rented one for a day and really enjoyed having some shade and a place to escape the sun for a while.
One thing to note before going is that after midnight, drinks at the upstairs bar are no longer included and must be paid for. We didn’t realise this at first, but once we found out, we simply grabbed our drinks before midnight and “stockpiled” 😂 we enjoyed sitting on the balcony, with a lovely breeze, and overall bar area was really nice.
This was our first visit to Fuerteventura. The beach is absolutely stunning, and Costa calma itself is very quiet, with very little nearby apart from a small beach bar. We hired a car and explored the island, which gave us plenty more to see and do. When we arrived at the hotel, they said because it’s not peak season they normally have a shuttle bus service which takes you down to the beach and back couple of times a day, but it was really lovely of them to save we paid for a taxi and kept the receipt they would refund us. Obviously, this wasn’t an option for us because we already hired a car but appreciate the gesture.
The entertainment staff were lovely, and there were plenty of activities available, including a football court, table tennis, air hockey, and pool tables. There was also a good selection of all-inclusive drinks. The white and red wines were surprisingly good, maybe a little too good haha! the cocktails included in the package were enjoyable too, mojito, sex on the beach etc.
Our room was very clean throughout the stay. However, on our second night, we did find a few cockroaches in the room. After speaking with other guests, none of them had experienced what we had did that night, so I think we were simply unlucky on that particular night.
Overall, would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely! Perfect lazy break we all needed.
Ignore any negative reviews this was such a relaxing holiday. I went solo, and whilst I didn’t partake in the evening entertainment the rest of the hotel was very lovely. Staff were kind, there were a few bars to choose from also. Food seemed repetitive but it is all inclusive, it’s expected, Drinks were good, and great range to chose from.
I had a great holiday and would return there!
