This bungalow complex enjoys a privileged location in a peaceful, residential area and enjoys fantastic views over Barca Bay. The complex is situated beside a natural park and the commercial centre of the resort is just 1 km away. There is a bus stop right in front of the complex and the beach is only 600 m from the hotel. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday under the warm Canary sun.
The Spa will be closed from 07/03/2022 until 11/04/2022.
We visited this hotel in Costa Calma in June 2026. Although its in a very quiet location the rooms are excellent with large balconies and sunbeds. The pool is well maintained but can be pretty cold. Sun beds are always available (as not many guests go to the pool.) There is no pool bar or small shop for drinks & snacks. This appears to be because there is a large number of German guests who either stay in their rooms or go to the beach. The beach, which is lovely is a 10 minute downhill walk and there is a snack bar / lunch restaurant there. There are drinking water dispensers which fill your water bottle (supplied.) The nearest supermarket and few restaurants are both a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The snack shop mentioned on the hotel's website has been closed for some time. Car hire is recommended due to the hotel's remoteness and although there is an Avis machine in the reception area, the hotel across the road has a staffed sales point which is far simpler to use.
Having stayed in the hotel several years ago & more recently the H10 Esmeralda over the road, we were very familiar with the area. The beaches are endless & clean. This time we returned to the Esmeralda Maris, an excellent choice if you just want to unwind & relax. I suspect the hotel has been recently refurbished, because all areas are spotlessly clean & well maintained. All staff were so friendly & helpful. we stayed in a junior suite (421) which had sea views, a really big terrace (25sqmts) and a side privacy terrace area decked out in astroturf. We really couldn't fault the rooms in the suite - exceeds all expectations We were half board, breakfasts were excellent & evening dinner ok, resteraunt staff were so helpful especially Rebeca. The only negative for us was that Easyjet holidays had described the hotel as providing midday lunch - they don't, and as such it was not possible to buy drinks during the daytime. But this as an Easyjet error, not the hotel. All in all if you want a stress free relaxing break, this is the place for you - we enjoyed it so much & will return
Overall a great hotel, , very friendly and helpful staff, good food choices , (could have been a little hotter at times), comfortable side sea room, spacious and with everything we needed ( although no wifi available in the room at the time) Good terrace, Nicely quiet, without play slides etc everywhere. It is pity there is not some hotel dress code as it felt like there was a lot of guest scruffiness about! , particularly for dinner, which was a shame and let it down a bit. Note; we booked an package, Easy jet… you need to update your site photographs as the hotel is not even the colour you advertised, and there is no shop either which is shown in your website. Overall a great stay!, and would say the best part of the island 😄👍🏼
We had a wonderful stay at Esmeralda Maris. The resort is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfectly located for anyone looking to relax and enjoy Fuerteventura’s natural scenery. The apartments are spacious, clean and well equipped, offering everything needed for a comfortable holiday. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always available, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. The pool area and common spaces were spotless and very well cared for, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, Esmeralda Maris is the ideal place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
This is my second review whilst I'm here main hotel rooms noisy from neighbours perhaps sadly not good I rather book garden view rooms lower level below pool deck seem quite. But I really can't fault food it's OK nothing special but it's not bad I promise. Mixed staff being polite as a solo traveler. Reception staff good and good location nice long walks along sandy beach. I read reviews but you do need to pay higher price to get quiet rooms if in main hotel it's not quiet belive me ... advantage plus seems a bit of a rip off to me.. as a solo traveler they wanted extra 600 pounds from standard sea view to superior view 😎 yes mind boggles when you share same pool etc.. but it's really ok if you pay cheap you get cheap for a solo traveler I would not pay for privilege it's a rip off but for couple possibly ok. Give it a try it's not bad...
