Fantastic hotel.  Great location.
All the staff are cheerful and assertive.  Very hard working.
We were in room 2414, lovely sea view.  Rooms are ideal, fridge, Coffee maker.  Bathroom includes, shampoo,  conditioner and body lotion, robes and slippers.
This was our 5th visit to Edmeralda.  It's a great place to de-stress.
Take advantage of the visit to Stromboli restaurant,  beautiful   italian food 😋

Fantastic hotel

This is my third time in an H10 hotel and in general I had a lovely holiday.   Staff are mostly excellent and the food is pretty good.

However there are some areas for improvement.

The pre-check in website doesn’t work.  The passport field was pre populated with the wrong number and greyed out so I couldn’t edit it.

I had booked a superior room in advance but on arrival they said they didn’t have one so I got downgraded.  

No daytime animation guy over the weekend for games around the pool.  This isn’t mentioned on the H10 website.  We booked only 5 days on the basis we would have the animation guy doing activities.  I had even emailed the hotel as I noticed this on the app and they replied saying it’s not been updated yet, when the truth was that he doesn’t work on weekends - this is fine but they should stipulate this on the website or better still, have more than one animation guy to cover for him.

When I asked about this the staff appeared to think it was justified somehow “because it’s moving day” which is ridiculous because a lot of guests still stay in the hotel over the weekend.

The pool bar where the main entertainment is way too small.  It consists of around 30 tables but there’s several hundred in the hotel… we saw some people giving up and going to bed because there was no room for them with a visibile line of sight to the person singing. 

There are hundreds of mirrors in the dining room which is really weird and distracting.

Booked a taxi with reception that never arrived.  Later discovered it wasn’t booked even though the receptionist told me it was and almost missed our boat trip as a result.

The staff at the bars don’t allow you to take a bottle of wine for your room, like in other H10 hotels.  This is irritating and petty.

You have to pay 50 cents to change your pool towel.  An unnecessary and silly charge.   

The Sunday bbq was excellent but would have been a lot better if we’d known this in advance on the app as we had already made plans that day and only caught the end of it.

I did have a nice stay but if the above could have been addressed it would have made it so much better.   

Staff, food, drinks and pool good.  Evening entertainment good apart from the white party which was just a DJ.  

I’ll probably keep coming back to H10 on occasion but not without taking a long look at all the other options first.

Not too bad but lots of room for improvement

Something has changed .  The hotel itself is still great and the rooms are fantastic. Very clean and tidy as always . The food was not so good this time as it was very bland and repetitive and the staff generally look stressed and fed up as I suppose we all would working 20 hour shifts!!!! Which were confirmed by several staff. 
I'd particularly like to single out the bar manager Giovanni who I can politely refer to as rude. Brushed my wife away from the bar with hand gestures  for no apparent reason. We went as far as to raise his attitude to the PR in the hotel but didn't get anywhere.  We just tried to avoid him after that. 
Shame too because it did sour our stay. 
We would definitely have to think long and hard about staying here again after 4  previous stays.

We returned to this lovely hotel in September for our third time!

We love staying here as the hotel and grounds are kept so pristine and the staff are always so helpful and friendly. We always ask for a high superior double room with a seaview and we always receive our request.

Check in is quick and easy by a great reception team and our suitcases are taken to our room.

We enjoyed the choice of food and especially the seafood and chinese evenings.  We love seafood and for every lunch and  dinner there was a good choice of fish to select.  

The hotel is right by a gorgeous long sandy beach where you  can walk as far as you want to burn off some calories!  The pool was very cold but refreshing!

House keeping was excellent as always and our room was always ready for us when we returned each day.

We have booked again to return in December this year! 
We look forward to returning in a few weeks.

Third holiday at Hotel Esmeralda

We stayed in H10 Esmeralda for a week in October, with an all inclusive package everything about the hotel was fantastic, staff were always pleasant and helpful, food was top class there was such variety every day, drinks on the outdoor terrace watching the sun drop behind the hills every evening was a treat, there was an excellent range of drinks included in the AI package, room was spacious and cleaned every day, we had a sea view room which overlooked the pool area as-well, bed was really comfy, pool area was calm and peaceful, never had an issue getting a sun bed with access to the beautiful beach directly from the back of the hotel grounds.  I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing break,
