Good hotel for sure

Been here several times, the place is nice. The greenery along the outside places makes the relaxing hotel environment even better. The food is always good and there are plenty of options to choose from...

Just besides the hotel you will find some small beaches that are nice too.

Honest review

Arrived at hotel on Saturday ..told room not ready..we were slightly early .not an issue..came back at 3pm still not ready..3.30 still not ready..can't get hold of the maid .no information given..then at 3.40 room was ready..off we go.. We had been here 10 years ago and to be honest the room had not changed in all that time..the hotel is looking very dated and needs a good bit of maintenance.. Mind you they had tried ..by filling the bath in with silicone to hide a crack..and had painted over a huge crack in the wall ..but used a different shade of paint.. I would have thought with the lockdown ect they could have updated the hotel.. Food was good and had a choice but for some reason all the breakfast was always lukewarm to cold .. The dining hall was a bit chaotic as there was always a que ..this was down to lack of staff as they were all running around mad.. Covid protocols were in force and were enforced which was good..face masks and hand sanitizer were required in all public places ..which people adhere to.. The best part was the pool area..on every table there was a sign saying that towels were not allowed on loungers and would be removed.. really I watched every morning people from 5.30 yes 5.30 in the morning sneaking about the swimming pool putting towels down..by 7.00 -7.30 they had taken up 90%of all available loungers...the staff done nothing about it..and no towels were ever removed.. If you do visit the hotel..be aware that there was a lot of mosquitoes about and there is nothing in the rooms to repel them .I had to go out and purchase a plug in.. One last thing ..I know that Costa calma area is visit by German nationals but as a hotel you should be aware that other nationalities visit fuerteventura..I found the hotel was very orientated towards one nationality and if you want to treat your guests correctly then treat everyone the same Not give special treatment to certain nationalities

Would we return..I don't think so to this hotel.unless something in the hotel structure changes...but I would possibly go somewhere else in Costa Calma .. It's a shame because this is why a lot of people from the UK only go to caleta de fuste or corralejo and miss out on the beautiful south of the island

old but clean and well placed

This is an old shaped hotel but it is very clean and well placed. From any room, you can see the beach or the pools. Rooms are old shaped but clean and spacious. They are soundproof. The hotel is quite big and it is hard to find your way the first day as there's no plan anywhere. The stages order is reversed (9 is down and 1 is on top). Food is nice and changes every day with themes sometimes (italian , spanish , canarian...)...

there's a lot of choice and quality is there. The pools are big and clean but it is hard to find a place to rest as all german guests are booking the deckchair all day (wich is not authorised). The spa is ok but look 80's. Massages are really nice and relaxing. The big issue is that nobody from the hotel person are able to understand english.The speak german and spanish but it is quite hard to have them understand what you ask for. also, when we arrive , we had really few information on the hotel (way to our room, how to get towels .....). Every evening, there's a show for our entertainment. it was nice but sometime boring. I really enjoyed the rock band . The + :

Lockdown visit

Great hotel and friendly staff. Took all the necessary precautions with covid. Amazing hotel and scenery. Looking forward to visiting again...

Only drawback was spa was closed but given the circumstances of a pandemic this was understandable. The evening meals could of been better but its a buffet menu so still acceptable. Good value for money. DJ

Great location, Awesome staff

Walking into this hotel has a real WOW factor, and awesome atrium with great views and a fountain. Check in was great, very well explained. My room was spacious and spotless, the view was great and I was delighted. The furniture was a little dated looking but really I am not going to worry that the wood is 'last season' I am not worried about things like that. The room was cleaned daily and here is a slight failing - my water glasses were not replaced, regardless of where I left them...

Also I was only given water on day 1, I would have expected daily water. The main pool was freezing, which is such a shame but the grounds are so pretty. Here is the highlight of my stay - Jonathan on the pool bar, I cannot give him more praise, he is so friendly and super good at his job, I would go back here just to see him! I was a bit sad that the cocktails came from machines, at the pool bar these are slushie types so that was ok, but at the main bar I would recommend long drinks as the machine cocktails are barely cold. A shout out to another bar staff member - Alexander at the main bar, again made me feel valued. The food however was the lowlight of my trip - I know this is due to the fact there was only around 100 guests, but only getting buffet food that is a variation on a theme (always paella and pizza for example) I was craving a nicely plated table service meal. The food tasted good but I got very bored of it. I would love to see if this improves when tourism recovers as I feel bad giving a bad food review when the hotel is not at fault. It is worth noting the lack of guests, this meant that one 1 bar was open in the day and one in the evening, the entertainment also suffered due to restrictions and lack of guests. I can tell it would be loads better if circumstances allowed.
