R2 Pajara Beach

The Foyer was welcoming, the view out to the coast picturesque, the reception seemed pleasant.. Given a map with directions and left to own devises .. The layout was poorly signed, the central elevators only for accessing the food Hall and bar. Going down the elevators felt like going into a dark and dim cave.. no natural light and very very dim lights (levels 8/9) which made the muted brown and caramel tiles feel depressing. The room was ok. No chair to sit on and a tv with only 12 Spanish Tv channels. A safe you have to pay extra for (£34 Euros for 10 nights). There was a fridge in room but no Kettle so no Tea or Coffee. To go for meals we had to go down two flights of stairs. Walk around the inner court and up three flights of stairs .. Or a long walk around the inside and go up to level 3, go to reception elevators and down to level 6 Dining area). The Breakfast was poorly laid out and zero atmosphere . No lemon juice for pancakes, butter in a completely separate area to the bread which was stacked high and therefore touched by many before.. there was very little chicken, or pork cuts served, the one time pork belly was served a few of us where Ill (got chatting later in week with a few others before realised it was that) . The lunch and evening meals are poor quality. My partner didnt find any choices she liked so ended up eating salad four nights.inwas ik as don't mind fish but it was poorly presented. Now I should say were english with western taste and europeans(I.e Germans) may enjoy the food more. The whole hotel lacked atmosphere, no music, poor lighting and abysmal layout. The entertainment was non existent and hotel fell silent at 10:30.. The disco we found by following sound. Food ended at 9 and seemed the entertainment stopped at 9:30 unless going to the disco (which was always nearly empty) The piano bar was tucked away and again lacked atmosphere (and piano music) . On three occasions the bar had no staff serving from 10:35 until 11 (drinks payable after 11!) The lager is served in a wine glass so 4 miserable trips no the bar to get equivalent of a pint and to be greeted with miserable frowning staff, English are clearly not welcome or wanted here! If we could have afforded to move to another hotel we would have. Everyone i saw looked miserable! Avoid this hotel its not 4* star by any means id rate it a 1 purely because it had a drinking water tap in the room and a lovely view! The best part was getting out of the hotel and travelling. Further north different vibe and feel! Didn't sleep first four nights as bed very very hard. (Not even a proper double it was two singles pushed together! Wont be going back!

We stayed a year ago and were satisfied with the hotel. We never intended to return, however when we received a good deal, we decided to return. The hotel in 2025 wasn’t quite up to the same standards of other 4 star hotels in the area, but since then it has unfortunately slipped further. The food isn’t as good as previously, other facilities have been removed- i.e night club and most drinks are now via machine. We never had any contact from the Jet 2 rep ( if there was one)- not the hotels fault i know, but it didnt help the overall experience. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with amazing grounds but it is getting tatty inside. If you get a cheap deal, maybe give it a go, but dont expect the Ritz. But i wouldnt pay decent money to visit again. It almost has started to feel like a budget hotel, and being 4 star is far to generous

I had the most amazing 7 nights at the R2 Pajara beach hotel and spa. Checking in was a breeze , the reseption staff walked us through the layout of the hotel and where to find our room. Helped myself to a mimosa presented near the reception area and appreciated the amazing view 10/10. Our room was located near the pool area which was amazing as we had easy access to the pools from the moment we woke up. Rooms where cleaned everyday which was most appriciated.Speaking about the pools , thery where clean , tropical looking and they had an infinity looking pool with a gourgeous view to the sea. We were not too fused about the cold pool but for those who are there is a heated pool located closer to the hotel. Location was 10/10 honestly the beaches around where lovely and a 15 minute walk to the closest shops, supermarket, pharmacy and night life. The staff worked so hard everyday with smiles on there face. Although more staff would be apreacitated in bar areas , i didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink. Animation team where superb , shout out to the DJ who honestly made the evenings/nights entertaining (was actually sore from all that dancing). Food was great , they had alot of selections and different themes ,loved the mexican style food theme. Coctails where not the best , stuck to mixers most of the time but the mojitos they sell in the beach bar (not all inclusive) was amazing , still think about it till this day. Took some lovely pictures with the photogrophers in the hotel , a bit pricey but loved the way the photos came out. Hotel was not noicy in my experience , i could hear the birds trupping in the background whilst sunbathing which was so realxing.Atmosphere was varied , mostly tailoured to the German population , my latin american partner felt like people would stare quite alot. But the staff where friendly and mostly from latin america which made him feel more at ease. Overall for what we payed and the experience we had was a 10/10.
