This modern hotel awaits its guests at just 350m from the nearest beach along the fabulous Costa Calma in the southern part of the Fuerteventura Island. Various shopping venues, restaurants and bars are located within 2 km, while the closest bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away. The venue itself provides everything needed for that long awaited vacation. Set amidst its beautiful gardens are 2 swimming pools that take care of that much needed respite in the warm summer months or a spot for a good morning swim, when the ocean waters are just a tad too chilly. For some extra pampering guests can give the spa and wellness centre a chance, while the in-house gym is perfect for those who want to maintain the workout routine. The onsite restaurants offer plenty of dining options that range from Canarian flavours, through traditional Spanish dishes to an international buffet.

Wonderful Time with Wonderful People!
We had an amazing time at the R2 Rio Calma restaurant. We were there on a full board basis and wow! The breakfast, lunch and dinner was extensive and there was such variety. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. We spent a week and the food was delicious, cooked beautifully and with such care. We had such positive interactions with Raul, Rodrigo, Miguel, Nerea, William and so much more. Alongside the food, the cleaning staff were amazing and efficient. And an amazing time was had during the day and at night with the various activities and 10 o’clock disco. Some names that stand out are Gianni, Vivian, Joao and Iona. Thank you to all for making our holiday that much more special! <3

lovely hotel bit far from everywhere no kettle in room
Great Hotel and Service
The whole location is perfect and very beautiful. Rooms are cleaned every day. The food and service is good, but I must praise waiter Paul for his elegant and excellent service! He doesn't only ask what would you like to drink today, he surrounds his clients with his warm attitude and smile, often asking if everything is okay and if you need anything.

Recommendation
We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was wonderful, from the great atmosphere to the very clean and comfortable rooms. The food was delicious, and the service was truly exceptional. We would especially like to recommend Mr. Raul for his outstanding approach to guests. His kindness, politeness, and genuine willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. We highly recommend this place and would happily come back again!
Disappointing all inclusive
This hotel is very limited to previous all inclusive we have been on. Drinks, snack bar, quality of food and small amount of sunbeds. One thing I can’t complain about is the rooms, they are of good size and cleaned very day.
The snack bar doesn’t open til 12.30 and included in the all inclusive are only toasties, burgers and hotdogs. So if you skip breakfast (which closes at 10.30am) you have nothing to go to for snacks.
As for the sunbed situation!! Well it’s a nightmare, they have loads of grassed areas around the pool, which sun beds could be put on but yet they instead have people lying on the ground.
The food in the food hall, is always cold and the meat as tough as old boots. The breakfast is properly the best meal of the day. Because of the food being always tasteless and cold we’ve ended up eating out getting a taxi to the local town.
We definitely won’t be coming back here.
