Highly recommend Hotel Cotillo Beach
Spent a great fortnight at Coral Beach. El Cotillo had been recommended by friends who often rent an apartment in the village. I enjoyed it so much that I have just booked to go again over Christmas.
It became apparent, during the booking process, that there was a significant saving to be had booking a package deal with Jet2 flying, in my case, from Bournemouth. Undoubtedly the best airline that I have flown with from this country.
On arrival, it is normally an hour and a half transfer from airport to hotel so I was going to get a taxi for about €60. As I was the only person going to El Cotillo, Jet2 provided a taxi transfer as part of the deal.
Check in at Coral Beach was quick and efficient, all Reception staff were excellent. I had requested a balcony room with a pool view. Some of the surrounding area is being built on, but I wasn't disturbed by building noise. There is a decent beach a 5 minute walk from the hotel although there were no facilities there. I believe you have to walk further along it for those.
The site is kept very clean and all staff are excellent. The man who cleaned my room was always very good, but I decided that i only needed him every other day. One suggestion would be not to book a room on the same side as Reception. The balconies were frequently in shade.
Breakfasts were good with a variety of hot and cold although I couldn't understand why they didn't provide butter? Lunch ran from about 12:00 till 5:00 so rather than have an evening meal, there are plenty of great places within a 10/15 minute walk, I would sometimes order something about 4:30 which meant the evening was free.
There is a good supermarket less than 2 minutes from the entrance and an ice cream shop even closer that has "normal" and gluten free ice cream.
All in all a lovely holiday with temperatures in the high 20's and no rain.

Great Stay
Had a great 8 night break at the Coral Cotillo Beach hotel, our first visit to Fuerteventura. The hotel was clean, reasonably quiet,in a great location and with friendly staff. Maids cleaned our room daily and there was a handy supermarket next door. The beach plus bars and restaurants were all within easy walking distance. A special mention to Maria Garcia on reception who handled any problems with efficiency and friendliness and gave out great restaurant recommendations. Would we return here? Yes, without a doubt.
Not a 4 star hotel
Stayed for 10 nights from 9/6/26,paid 55 euros extra on arrival as we chose our room. We were not told this was an interconnecting room so when next door were in the bathroom it actually sounded like they were in our room. We had to ask for a plug for the sink so my husband could have a shave and had to report the broken wardrobe door as it had come off the runner (sliding door).There was only 1 chair in the room even though it was a double room and the hotel has a big problem with birds leaving droppings everywhere and landing on the outside dining tables eating food left on plates...in our opinion this hotel is a 3 star at best and we were dissapointed with our stay.
Relaxing getaway.
Very clean hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed our 7 night stay and would definitely return. Great location for a quiet break.
Lovely stay at Coral Reef
We had a great stay at Coral Reef Hotel in Fuerteventura. The hotel is new, modern and spotlessly clean. Everything looked fresh and well looked after, which made our stay really comfortable. A special thank you to Renny - the personal trainer. He is fantastic! Very knowledgeable, attentive and always motivating. He inspired us to start exercising and gave us some great tips on how to use the gym properly and get the most out of our workouts. A big thank you to Vivian, who did an amazing job keeping our room spotless every day. She was always so friendly and lovely to chat to. We'd also like to thank Maria, who helped us sort out a situation we had during our stay. She went above and beyond to help us and we really appreciated all her efforts. Sara & Marek
