Club Jandia Princess

The only thing I enjoyed about this hotel was how pretty they view was looking out from the hotel. When we booked this hotel we was not informed that it will be closed soon for a refurbishment. The whole place has cracks everywhere! The tiles around the pool majority was cracked. In the sports bar one wall/ceiling was leaking leaving long dirty stains along the walls. All that was put out was the pool towels. The only room that has aircon was the theater room. During breakfast/lunch and dinner it was so uncomfortable to sit in the restaurant due to no cool breeze. It wasnt relaxing we ate our food and got out. This is the same for reception area no aircon. Just sat feeling uncomfortable and sweating. We believe the worst part of our holiday was the entertainment! Thier was dancers on some nights which was so boring we felt embarrassed watching them! They couldn't even organise bingo right. The entertainment is honestly so boring!! I went to bed early because of this. Getting back to my room and watching telly. Downstairs in the sports bar was okay. The music and singing was good the only problem with wanting to sit and enjoy it was having to scan the area for 2 to 3 hours looking and waiting for a seat. We spent 9 of our night out of 10 standing around because thier wasnt enough seats. Some nights we had to sit to a side on a sunbed. One night someone had left a glass on a table and with the strong winds it got blown off the table. People was sat around and did nothing about it. I went to the bar to let them know. A man come over with a brush and cleaned up a small amount. I had to go over with my phones flash light to check it had all been picked up. It hadn't there was loads of chunks of glass still around. This was right next to the pool! The drink I will probably sound like a snob but they was disgusting. Didnt have no cocktails as they are pre made from a machine and tasted like chemicals mixed with serum. During breakfast we was lucky if the juice machine worked! Most of the time what ever juice you selected gave water or the weakest amount of the juice. I ended up sticking with cranberry juice that is poured into a long glass bottle and put aside near the food. Untill they stoped (ran out) this also happend with certain ceral and bread! The food is basic which im happy with as im not one for small posh dishes. Some nights was okay other nights I questioned if it was cooked and what it was as some foods had no labels explaining what it is. I had pasta and rice most nights. The only good meal I had was breakfast time. Staff at reception look as if they dont know how to smile! Twice i had to go to reception for help and not once was i greeted with a smile or a hello. Just a blank expression. The lady at night time on reception to check us in was lovely. The maintenance men was lovely also so helpful and cheerful. The pool is great fun being able to use inflatables was great! Unfortunately the pool had been changed and coverd up. No waterfall and half the pool was covered up for sunbeds. We was not informed about this. This was the selling point for us as my 9 year old was looking forward to the water fountain. Having the beach right next to us as well was perfect. The rooms are good and spacious. Although for some reason we was put on the adult side with a 9 year old. We had booked over a year ago. To be told it was full on the family side. The bathroom is lovely and big, the beds are comfortable and we thought the rooms wer lovely and clean. In one way I would come back to this hotel after its had its refurbishment. (Maybe) just to see the difference. If not then it would be a 100% no. It is a shame because I love the location but due to everything above I just dont feel its a place to really enjoy a holiday. I would not say this is a 4 start hotel. More of a 3 star hotel.

We have just come back from a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location of the hotel and its views are AMAZING and is what truly makes it.

There is a good atmosphere around the hotel - there are four pools - one main for families and three smaller ones for adults. If you are adults travelling, you will not have a problem getting a sunbed, however I can see if you are a family - especially a larger one - it might be difficult getting sunbeds all together. This being said, the pools open at 10am and there are signs stating no reserving sunbeds. There are also shaded areas around the pools and bars. The pools were decent and clean. The main family pool is a lively area at times which is fun for the kids. There is also a kids club as well. The adult pools are more chill.

The room could have done with some maintenance. We were OK in our room and didn’t spend much time in it, but we did have ants come and go in the bathroom and the air con needed an upgrade! The doors to the balcony were a bit tricky to open and there were some mould around the fridge cupboard. The pillows and bed were comfy and everywhere else was clean. Air con quality is a main point in this hotel - there isn’t much of it but luckily there is a breeze around which helps a little.

The reception service we experienced was friendly and helpful. Staff around the hotel restaurant, bar and reps were friendly and greeted you and made you feel welcome.

The food was good. Each night had a different theme and also, a separate snack bar for the day if you didn’t want lunch in the main restaurant. Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks were decent. It wasn’t branded alcohol but that has always been our experience for all inclusive. All inclusive drinks are between 10am-11pm, which I found a bit odd but it didn’t matter to us in the end.

We would say the value for money what we paid - considering we had some discount with TUI - was fine. I think the hotel is great for adults and couples and you will not beat the location and views of the beach!

All in all, the hotel really does need some refurbishment, as many people have mentioned! A big thank you to Laura, Desi and Anna for looking after our little one! She especially loved the mini discos!
