Incredible time at the Fuerteventura Princess

Since booking our holiday, a number of extremely negative reviews appeared on here and after making the deadly mistake of looking again we became a little nervous about what we would find. We really shouldn’t have worried, the Princess is fantastic and was the perfect place for our first family holiday abroad.

Travelling with two year old twins could have been stressful, but we were greeted with a smile and directed to our room with the offer of help extremely swiftly...

The hotel is impressive from the off, with a grand lobby and bar. The gardens are pristine, there’s always plenty of maintenance happening to keep the place looking smart.

We booked a suite, which is basically two adjoining rooms, one as a lounge and one a bedroom with a lovely garden area with loungers and chairs. It was certainly worth upgrading, as our twins had their own room (the lounge) with travel cots, meaning we got some space in the evening once they were in bed. The housekeeping service was always second to none.

The all inclusive drinks are absolutely enough, no need to upgrade. You even get Prosecco included which I’ve never experienced before.

The food is brilliant too. The starter table in the evening was always my fave, but plenty of options all round. Whether it’s something from the grill, a freshly made stir fry or pasta dish, there’s plenty for everyone. Breakfast has it all too, and at lunch you can enjoy a BBQ or paella, plus more!

The children's pools are warm. Always plenty of sunbeds too.

I enjoyed a massage in the wellness centre which I’d certainly recommend.

The staff in the hotel are all cheery and polite and always made a fuss of our twins.

The only part that really needs improvement for me was the entertainment. The kids disco is too late and it was really naff. Didn’t make any of the other shows as they were even later.

We will definitely return to the Princess again. Thanks for an amazing time.

Amazing hotel, ignore the negative reviews!

Review by melmartin2002 Northamptonshire, United Kingdom

6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids have just returned from a week at the Fuerteventura Princess. We got what we felt was a good package deal and were slightly nervous about some of the negative reviews. We really didn't need to be, the place is great! Firstly we read about delays in check in, well we had none, however we had done some work ahead of going and used their on-line check in on their website prior to arriving, this probably helped us but we spoke to others who hadn't done the same and they said it was fine and nothing more than you'd usually expect...

The comments about the rude staff could not be further from the truth, everyone was always there with a smile (behind a mask of course), always greeted you and especially greeted the kids. Yes the chefs cooking for hundreds of people behind a hot grill might now ask you how you are but can you blame them!

We didn't upgrade our all inclusive, really didn't need to. The drinks choices on offer were plentiful for us but if you want something above and beyond, sometimes you have to pay extra for it we just didn't feel the need to.

There is one slight negative to mention, it didn't really impact us as being with children we stayed around the kids pool and the one adjacent to it, both of which were perfect temperature wise. However, the large pool down near the bar, well that is cold and you rarely saw anyone in it except for the aqua aerobics. But it does have a pretty cool waterfall area!

The restaurants have plenty of food and variety every day, and who can knock a glass of fizz served even at breakfast!

Just ignore the negative reviews, the place is great, wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Here at the moment room 3116 don't understand what the previous people were talking about, staff are courteous, food good and varied menu, pools good, rooms excellent and beds comfortable. Plenty to do in the hotel and upgrade to premium drinks is worth the money , will come back here again.
