Lovely holiday, great price

Review by Kimberley M Sheffield, United Kingdom

We've just returned from a week here. It was our first time in Fuerteventura. The transfer is around an hour but that seemed to go quite quickly.

The hotel is in need of a bit of a facelift but the reception area was huge and every impressionable...

Lots of covid measures in place but these were all stuck to and everyone seemed happy to wear their masks inside and in the food hall.

We stayed in block 8 which was further down the hill. Is quite a walk up to the main restaurant if you're not very mobile but we didn't have a problem,

Food was great, Different themes each night. Pizza was great! The mexican evening was also delicious and their steak night was great.

Pool areas were lovely. We normally sat by the main one which was handy as there is a pool bar in the middle.

If you walk to the bottom of hotel and thought the gates (You will need your room key to get in and out ) and walk down or use the lift. Some good shops for gifts and a shop!. You cross the road for the beach, which is a lovely walk down.

Would go back and would recommend. Really nice holiday.

Great holiday!

Review by katemw23

Just arrived back from staying at the occidental playa. It was great,

Food- great, hot and a variety Pools- 3 big pools, one heated Entertainment- animation team were top class, fun, happy and energetic. Put on some great shows in the evening and we’re fab in the day none stop! Drinks- fine if you don’t care about brands my coconut run and lemonade went down very well...

Staff are all friendly, don’t speak much English though. Room was fine and clean, had an interconnecting one over looking the sea, appreciated the two bathrooms. Only downside was not providing face masks when they expect you to wear one which is fair enough. Not far from the beach, which was beautiful. Would recommend this hotel.

A little bit of paradise

Review by Expedition639152

This hotel is in a lovely location near Jandia beach. We paid extra for a sea view which was well worth the money. The hotel is very clean and tidy...

The choice of food in the buffet restaurant is very good and covers all nationalities. The staff work hard to ensure all areas are cleaned and Covid restrictions are managed well. This hotel is in a quiet location and ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Great for the money

Review by 922tinac Arnold, United Kingdom

Stayed here last week. Just Monday to Friday. I have to say I was worried as I paid so little for this hotel, I thought it may be a dump, but was very pleasantly surprised.

I think the price reflects the need for renovation but that being said everything was always clean.

The buffet area is big and have a wide variety...

Mexican night was great! That being said one night my son got some chicken off the hot plates and it was raw inside. Lots if drinks options. I can't understand why they only have wine glasses tho. Makes it completely impossible to pour a beer from the self service pumps!

We paid for a room with a Seaview and this was well worth it as we were placed in a really quite area right on the beach front. Room was basic but clean. Great shower!

We did have to have the fab replaced as it didn't work.

Pools are great and don't get over crowded. However apart from if you are lucky to get a lounger under the shaded pergolas, there is no shade. No umbrellas!!! So it's either shade or sun, nothing in between!

We arrived at 2pm on Monday after a 2 hour transfer, so firstly would recommend paying for private transfer. We were told the room wasn't ready which was fine we went for lunch . Came back at 3 as instructed. Still not ready. Sat in reception for 40 minutes until it was finally ready. After being up since 3am all we wanted to do was go to the room and change and get into the pool. If I was here for z week this wouldn't have bothered me so much but as only there Monday to Friday it was a bit annoying all in all I'd go here again
